Manual settings
If your device was not able to carry out automatic station and time setting,
e.g. because reception conditions are inadequate, you can enter the radio
stations and the time manually. Nevertheless, you should first try to improve
the reception conditions by adjusting the antennae. If the DCF reception is
insufficient, the DCF symbol »g« appears without waves: »

«.
Setting radio stations
There are 10 preset positions available for radio stations.
1 Press »
ON/OFF
« to switch on the device.
2 Begin station search by pressing and holding down »
E«or»R«.
– The search stops as soon as a radio station with a sufficiently strong
signal is found.
– You can also set the frequency step-by-step (50 kHz) by briefly pres-
sing »E«or»R«.
– If RDS information is transmitted by the station currently set, »F«
appears in the display and after a short time the frequency appears
with the station name.
3 Save radio station by pressing »TIME/MEMO« (»M« flashes in the
display), select the desired preset position within 20 seconds with
»1…10« and confirm with »TIME/MEMO«.
– Press »1 ... 10 « once for preset positions 1 ... 5, and twice for chan-
nel positions 6 ... 10.
– Display: the frequency of the selected preset position, for example
»M 1«, shortly after the station name for RDS stations.
4 To set further radio stations, repeat this procedure starting at pt. 2.
Note:
If no channel position is selected within 20 seconds, the device interrupts
the setting procedure. Start again at pt. 3.
Setting the time and date
If your device cannot automatically receive the time and date, enter both
manually.
1 Switch off the device by pressing »
ON/OFF

2 Press »TIME/MEMO«.
– The hours display flashes.
3 Set the hours by pressing »P+ «or»P– «.
– Hold down »P+« or »P–« to set the time more quickly.
4 Press »
R«.
– The minutes display flashes.
5 Set the minutes by pressing »P+ «or»P– «.
