Reception of digital satellite services
Dear customer,
To use the satellite receiver you will need a suitable satellite antenna which
must be installed and aligned with the desired satellite (for example Astra or
EutelSat/Hotbird).
In contrast to the transmission of analog satellite signals, no own transmission
frequency is assigned to each TV or Radio service, but several “services” are
assigned to one carrier (transponder).
Several of the 2000 service positions available on this satellite receiver have
been pre-programmed with all the required settings to simplify the selection and
the associated satellite service settings. The TV or Radio »Service Table« menu
states which satellite services have been pre-programmed.
In order to ensure that your satellite receiver operates with the latest service
data and operating software, it is necessary to carry out a software update
via satellite.
