Protecting the satellite receiver against
unauthorized use
You may enter a password to protect certain menu settings and functions of the
satellite receiver against unauthorized use.
The password is required
for calling up the »Password Set« and »Factory Settings« menus, and for un-
locking locked programmes.
The contents or individual passages of certain programmess are not suited for
children. Several broadcasters mark these programmes with an age limit.
You then may decide whether or not these programmes are locked or unlocked.
Important:
At the factory, the parental lock has been activated!
The factory settings password is »1 5 1 5«.
1 Call up the »Main Menu« using the »Ǻ Menu « button.
2 Select the »System Setup« row using the »
P+, P-
« buttons then press the
»OK« button.
3 Select the »Password Set« row using the »
P+, P-
« buttons then press the
»OK« button.
– The »Please enter Password« window appears on the picture screen, the
first digit is highlighted.
4 Enter »1 5 1 5« (= factory setting) using the numeric buttons »1« and »5«
as 4 digits.
– In the case of incorrect entries, the following message apoears:
»Password incorrect; try again«.
5 Enter the correct password again as 4 digits.
– The dialogue box »Input New Password« appears on the picture screen.
