3. Release the set screw (Fig. 4/B)
4. Pull the chain on the sprocket wheel and insert the guide
bar (the guide bar slit and hole should stay in alignment
with the guide bar screw and the set screw Fig. 6)
5. Install the cover (Fig. 7) and tighten slightly (Fig. 8) by
hand
Caution: Do not put the chain in the opposite
direction of running. If the chain is put likr that, the saw is
vibrating strongly and does not cut (Fig. 9)

Safety instructions for the operation
Use the product only after you have read the operating
manual carefully.
Follow all safety instructions stated in the manual.
Behave responsibly against other people.
Only walk during work. Do not run
Always wear proper work clothing.
Operation
1. Connect the unit and an extension cable. Plug the
extension cable in.
2. Hold the pruner at due spots of grasp with both the
hands (Fig. 10). Hold the pruner safely. The thumbs and
fingers should embrace the pruner pole.
3. Mind proper footing, distribute the weight evenly in both
the feet.
4. To switch the unit on, first push the lock (Fig. 10/2) and
then the on/off switch (Fig. 10/1). The pruner will turn on
in that way. Tripping the on/off (Fig. 10/1) switch, the
pruner will turn off. Make sure that the unit runs at full
speed before starting the first cut.
NOTICE: Always use the stop surface plate on the
cutting head!
Upon starting the cutting, conduct the rotating chain to the
wood. . Hold the unit firmly so that a spring-out or slipping of it
is prevented (lateral movement).
5. Conduct the pole pruner with a light force. Do not
overload it If you do so, the motor could get overloaded
and burn down. The pruner performs better if working as
the prescribed speed.
6. Step away from the cut while the unit is still running at
full. Turn it off by pushing the switch. The pruner should
stop completely before being laid aside.
WARNING:
Avoid the backlash. The backlash may cause severe
injuries.
Do not use the unit if standing on a ladder or another
unstable support or if your footing is not firm.
Call a specialist to assist if the circumstances require a
use of heavier units.
Chain tension set-up
WARNING: Always pay attention to the chain tension.
A slackened chain will increase the risk of backlash. If
slackened, the chain could spring out of the guide, could
cause injury to the operator and get damaged. A
slackened chain wears out very quickly and the sprocket
wheel and the guide bar wears out as well.
Abb. 4:
A Chain tensioning
B Chain slackening
1. Prior to the chain tension set up, make sure that the guide
bar nut is tightened by hand only (Fig. 3/1).
2. Turn the set screw clockwise (Fig. 4/A) for the chain to
tighten. Notice: The chain is tightened correctly if it is
fitted So that it is impossible to spring out from the
guide in operation. The chain should move freely. If it
does not, slacken it by turning the set screw
anticlockwise.
3. Once the chain is tensioned correctly, tighten the guide
bar nut. If it is not tight, the guide bar will move and
slacken the chain tension. This would increase a risk of
backlash that may cause damage to the unit. Notice: A
new chain tends to extend. Check the new chain after
initial minutes of operation. Le the chain cool down and
reset the chain tension.
Chain Oil Lubrication
Check the oil level before any use of the unit to see that a
sufficient amount is available.
maintenance and care
NOTICE: Follow the pruner maintenance instructions.
Any maintenance not mentioned in the instructions
should be done by an authorised servicing establishment
WARNING: Unplug the unit before any maintenance.
An electrical shock or a contact with rotating chain could
cause severe injuries. Cutting edges are sharp. Wear
protective gloves any time you handle the chain.
Cleaning the unit body
Keep the pruner clean. Use a soft cloth wetted in fine soapy
water. Use it to wipe the pruner. Dip the unit in liquid. Do not
use any cleaning agents containing ammonia, chlorine or
emery. Do not use any cleaning solutions containg chlorine,
carbon tetrachloride, kerosene or petrol.
Oil tank filling
Remove the oil tank cover (Fig. 2/4).
Fill the oil tank (Fig. 2/5) with biodegradable chain
Return the oil tank cover (Fig. 2/4). The oil cap (Fig. 2/4)
tighten. This makes the escape of oil from the tank
prevented.
Wipe the excessive oil off. Discharge the oil tank (Fig 2/5)
after each use to prevent spillage.
guide bar care
Most frequently, problems with the guide bar are caused by
uneven wear. Unskilled sharpening of the chain cutting
elements and poor grinding of the depth limiter may increase
the problems. If such a problem arises, replace the guide bar.
Check the guide bar before sharpening the unit. The worn or
defective guide bar is not safe to use and damages the chain.
Therefore, it should not be used!
guide bar routine maintenance
1. Remove the guide bar from the unit.
2. From time to time, clean the guide bar slit from the
sawdust. Use a wire or a filling knife for it.
3. Clean the oil grooves after every day of use.
4. Remove any roughness on the guide bar sides. Use a
flat file to make the corners true.
5. Do not reinstall the guide bar if bent or cracked, or if the
rail inner slit is worn considerably.
Notice: The replacement guide bar may be obtained as a
spare part.
Saw chain sharpening
The chain should be kept sharpened!
The cutting job will be faster and safer then. A blunt chain will
cause unnecessary wear of the sprocket wheel, guide bar,
chain and motor. The chain is blunt if it is necessary to force it
against the wood and cutting then results in sawdust and
several larger chips.
Saw Chain Replacement
Replace the chain any time when the cutting elements are too
worn after repeated sharpening or break of the chain is
