Now comes the grand magical finale:
Take the magic stone and let it rotate above the cards
(picture 10). Say: “By means of the magic stone I will captu-
re your thoughts! This is your chosen card!” Hold the magic
stone towards the audience and then place it on the eighth
card (picture 11).
Ask the spectator to uncover the card where you have placed
the magic stone.
Their astonishment will be enormous: You really have found
the chosen card (picture 12).
Insist that the magic stone has to tune into the audi-
ence's thoughts and therefore the procedure has to be
repeated various times.
9. After the third time once again you have all the cards in
your hand. Put the cards face down next to each other.
Silently count the cards (picture 9).
Important: Remember where you put the eighth card.
This magic trick is based on a mathematical phenome-
non: the eighth card is always the one chosen by the
spectator.
