Getting Started

To use your Bluetooth car kit, please plug your car kit into

the cigarette lighter hole. Meanwhile, the LED will ﬂ ash

on green every 3 seconds and car kit is under standby

mode.

IMPORTANT:

(a) An optional cigarette lighter adapting collar is

recommended for different sized lighter holes.

(b )To power off the car kit, press and hold the MFB for 3

seconds until the green LED ﬂ ashes off.

Turning On/Off the Car Kit

Turning On:

Car kit is under off mode:

Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds until you hear a

short beep. The LED will ﬂ ash on green every 3 seconds.

Turning Off:

Car kit is under standby mode:

Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds until you hear a

short beep. The LED will ﬂ ash off.

IMPORTANT: Press the MFB again each time you turn on

the car kit to reactive the paring so that the

connection in between the car kit and paired mobile

handset is resumed. For pairing, please refer to

procedures under “Pairing”.

Pairing

Prior to using the car kit for the ﬁ rst time, you must pair it

with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile handset. The following

steps describe pairing instruction for a typical

Bluetooth-enabled mobile handset.

(a) Plug the car kit into the cigarette lighter hole.

(b) Place the car kit and mobile handset no more than

1 meter apart.

(d) Press and hold the MFB for 6 seconds until you hear

a long beep. The LED ﬂ ash on green. It’s now ready

for pairing.

(e) Activate your mobile handset’s Bluetooth function by

referring to your mobile handset user guide for d

tails. Mean while, the handset will search for

accessible Bluetooth devices.

(f) Select “Car Kit” from the list.

(g) Enter the pre-programmed passkey “9999” and press

“OK” to pair the car kit and the handset. When

pairing is completed, you may hear a long beep. The

car kit LED will ﬂ ash on green every 3 seconds and be

under standby mode.

(h) Press “Return” to go back to your handset’s main

menu. For certain mobile handset models, a headset

icon will be shown on the screen. You should now

be able to make and receive calls using your car kit.

(Obstruction could cause shorter sensing distance.)

IMPORTANT: Under the pairing mode, if the pairing

cannot be completed within 2 minutes, the car kit will be

powered off and LED ﬂ ahes off. Please repeat step (c) to

(h) to pair the speakerphone and mobile handset again.

Connection/Link to a Mobile Handset

After pairing is completed, the car kit is always under

standby mode. Before you place or answer a call, if the

headset ICON is not shown on phone screen, please

follow the simple steps to activate the Bluetooth

connection/link through your handset or car kit until the

headset ICON is on the screen.

(a) On Handset: Select “Car Kit” from the paired list on

your handset screen.

(b) On Car Kit: Press MFB and select “Accept” on han

set screen to accept connection.

IMPORTANT: Whenever Bluetooth connection/link is

removed and you cannot see the headset ICON on phone

screen, for example: Car kit or mobile handset is powered

off and then turn on, or out of 10 meter sensing distance,

please activate connection/link as suggested.

Disconnection to the Mobile Handset

You may connect your car kit with another Bluetooth

handset. Please follow the simple steps to disconnect

the speakerphone with the pre-paired handset.

(a) Power off the car kit.

(b) Select “disconnecting” to remove previous

connection from your handset list.
