3. Touch and Hold Touch Buttons will increase or decrease their function in
incremental steps when they are touched once, or "scroll" through the steps if
touched and held. The new value will be shown in the Information Center
Display.

the Table of Contents for the page numbers.
TEMPO WHEEL CONTROL
To the right of the LCD screen is the TEMPO WHEEL CONTROL.
This large rotary control allows you to control the tempo of the Rhythm.
NOTE: You will also find information about the Tempo Wheel Control
in the RHYTHM & EASY PLAY section of this Guide.
♦ Additional Controls
Disk Drive
The Disk Drive is located on the extreme left of the keyboard. It allows you to:
1. Record and store Sequences or Songs to Floppy Disks.
2. Play pre-recorded Sequences or Songs on the XE-1.
3. Store banks of Presets to Floppy Disks.
4. Load previously stored Preset Banks into the XE-1.
5. Load additional Styles and Rhythms into the XE-1.

CompactFlash Card Slot
The CompactFlash Card Slot is located on the back of the XE-1 on the right side facing the
keyboard. It allows you to:
1. Record and store Sequences or Songs to CompactFlash Cards.
2. Store banks of Presets to CompactFlash Cards.
3. Load previously stored Preset Banks into the XE-1.
4. Store groups of Styles and Rhythms to CompactFlash Cards.
5. Load additional Styles and Rhythms into the XE-1.
