6. With one person still holding the bike upright, raise the
lift rails slightly so that the frame lift adapters begin to
contact the lift rails, making sure the adapters are
“square” to the frame. Figure 8. illustrates the left side
frame lift adapters in the correct position during initial lift
contact.
7. With one person holding the bike securely, remove
frame leveling extrusion from under the front tire, tilt bike
to the left and slide frame leveling extrusion (“U” section
up) between the right rear frame and the lift rail as
shown in Figure 9.
RAISING LIFT
1. With one person holding the bike securely, slowly raise
lift until the motorcycle wheels are off the ground and lift
is in position for work. Make sure the bike is balanced on
the lift rails.
2 Install 4 Hog Ties™ (2 per side) according to procedures
provided in the Motorcycle Lift Instructions. Figure 10.
illustrates Hog Ties™ installed.
LOWERING LIFT
1. See Figure 11. With Jiffy Stand extended, slowly lower
lift until tires are on ground and a gap exists between the
frame lift adapters and the upper portion of the lift rails.
2. Remove Hog Ties
TM
according to procedures provided in
the Motorcycle Lift Instructions.
Make sure to remove all frame lift adapters prior to riding
the motorcycle. Failure to remove lift adapters can result
in loss of control resulting in death or serious injury.
Removal
1. Carefully lean the bike to the right and remove frame lift
adapters from the left frame rail.
2. Carefully lean the bike to the left and remove frame lift
adapter and frame leveling extrusion from right frame
rail.
3. Lower the motorcycle lift completely and rest the bike on
the Jiffy Stand. Lock the friction pad lever latch to allow
movement of the lift.
4. Pull out lift from under motorcycle.
