tomorrow to Sunday’s program.
5. With this button you select one of the unique holiday/timer functions.
6. With this you can for an undetermined period set a steady temperature.
7. With this button you acknowledge alterations in the program, delete temporary
changes or just get back to normal mode.
8. With these period-buttons you select the period of which you are about to change or
check the time and temperature.
9. With this you set the clock and also the times belonging to the program.
10. With this button you switch quickly from Summer to Wintertime or back.
11. Pressing “Copy Day” during programming the program of one day is being copied to
other days of the week.
12. This button controls the setting of the clock and day of the week.
13. With this you choose the day of the week when checking the program or
programming.
EASY PROGRAMMING IN THREE STEPS
Naturally you can use the factory setting of the thermostat which are set until you change
them (see Programming your thermostat – Factory Settings). However, it is quite simple
to adapt this program to your own desired week program.
Step 1: Program the right time and day of the week and select Summer- or Wintertime
(See: Programming your thermostat – Programming the right day, time and
Summer/Wintertime).
Step 2: Program your desired time-temperature settings for the week (see: Programming
your thermostat).
Step 3: Press START PROGRAM to acknowledge and activate the new program.
BEFORE USING YOUR THERMOSTAT
The Chronotherm IV has a number of characteristics that distinguishes this thermostat
from other programmable thermostats. By learning more about these characteristics you
can optimalize the possibilities which the Chronotherm IV offers.
Adaptive Intelligent Recovery
The Chronotherm IV makes sure that, on the time you have programmed, the desired
temperature has been reached. The thermostat does this by daily calculating and
monitoring the time it needs to warm up the room.
Using this information, the thermostat calculates at what time it’s supposed to start
warming up the next day. When programming, you just punch in the time on which you
want the new temperature realized.
The time at which the thermostat starts to warm up is different every time. During a cold
period the thermostat starts to warm up earlier than in Spring or Autumn. So it is not
necessary to change the warming-times yourself as the seasons turn. As soon as the
