a) Lift off filter cover.
b) Peel off filter.
c) Fit new filter and replace cover.
EMPTYING THE EcoBox™

The EcoBox™ check indicator will show
red when the EcoBox™ needs emptying.
For true EcoBox™ check indication the
power control must be set to maximum
(fully to the right).
To empty the EcoBox™:
1. Remove bag door.
2. Lift EcoBox™ out of cleaner.
3. Open and empty EcoBox™.
4. Re-assemble EcoBox™.
5. Replace assembled EcoBox™ in
cleaner (reverse of 2).
6. Locate tabs on bag door. Close bag
door.
DO NOT use the cleaner without
EcoBox™ in place.
ECOBOX™ FILTER
MAINTENANCE
The pre-motor and the exhaust filter
should be washed every month. Please
refer to your user manual to find how to
access the filters.
To maintain best performance please
follow these simple steps:
1. Rinse both filters under hand warm
water do not scrub the filters.
2. Remove excess water with a dry
cloth and leave to air dry for 24
hours or until fully dry.
After completing the washing operations,
return the EcoBox™ and filters to their
original positions in the cleaner.

CHANGING THE PAPER
BAG (7)*
The bag check indicator will show red
when the bag needs replacing.
For true bag check indication the power
control* must be set to maximum (fully
to the right).
DO NOT overfill the bag.
To change the bag:
1. Lay the cleaner on a flat surface.
2. Remove bag door.
3. Remove bag by pulling bag collar
from hose inlet using tab as shown.
The bag will self-seal.
4. Fit new bag by first folding back the
bag corners and sealing flap as
shown.
5. Locate bag collar in front of tabs in
bag housing as shown, then push
collar over hose inlet until it `clicks´
into place.
6. Locate tabs on bag door as shown
and close bag door.
DO NOT use cleaner without bag in
place.
Hoover recommend that
new filters are fitted
after five full bags have
been removed.
CHANGING THE
pre-motor FILTER (10)
With paper bag removed lift the filter
from the bag housing.
Fit the new filter and replace the paper
bag.
IMPORTANT: Switch cleaner
off and remove plug from
electricity supply before
changing paper bag, emptying
the EcoBox™ or removing
any filters.
