First time use
Activate the Mobile Internet Router
After the SIM-card has been inserted and the power adapter has been
connected, the Mobile Internet Router can be switched on with the
Power-button[n].
After that, several lights will start to burn or blink.
Note! All settings in your device are already pre-set in the factory at
production in such a way that you don’t have to do or change anything.
The device will then automatically enter the PIN-code of the SIM-card
(which is by default 0000 in case of a new SIM-card), and immediately
after that it will register to the mobile network of KPN and then to the
internet.
We advise you to gently wait for a few minutes, until the Mode-indicator
[b] burns Cyan or Blue, and the Signal-indicator [e] indicates the signal-
strength.
Then the device is ready for use.
After that, you can:
1. Connect a PC or Laptop via a network-cable to one of the LAN-ports
[g], after that you can browse the internet via these computers.
2. Register a Laptop or Tablet or SmartPhone via Wi-Fi to the Mobile
Internet Router (see chapter below here), after which you can browse
the internet with these.
Register devices via Wi-Fi
The Mobile Internet Router has a so-called “Dual band” Wi-Fi
transmitter, which transmits at 2 frequencies at the same time (2,4GHz
and 5GHz). Depending on the device that you want to register, you can
find up to 2 Wi-Fi networks. The choice of which to take of these 2
depends on:
- 2,4GHz has a somewhat further reach
- 5GHz can lead to a somewhat faster Wi-Fi connection
The way how to register your devices via Wi-Fi to this Mobile Internet
Router can/will differ per device. Basically you can register all devices
that support Wi-Fi, like Laptops, Tablets, SmartPhones, Smart-TV’s,
Media-players, Blu-Ray players, AV-Receivers, NAS-devices, Printers
etc.
