• Adjusting handles and door.
• Checking the spring in the automatic unit. Replace if necessary.
• Checking and/or replacing insulation material.
• Checking the bottom and/or shaking grate.
All service checks must be performed by an authorised fitter. Use only original spare parts
Loose handles (Drawing H)
The handle on the door may loosen slightly after being used for some time. If this happens it can be easily
tightened again. Loosen the pointed screw (1) on the lower side of the handle with a 2.5 mm Allen key.
Then tighten the central screw (2) on the handle with a 4 mm Allen key through the little hole inside the
door. Tighten the pointed screw (1) on the lower side of the handle.
Inside cleaning
Before cleaning, move the regulating rod to the far left in order to avoid soot and ash getting into the
automatic controls.
The smoke shelf and baffle plate is to be removed from the stove before cleaning. At stoves with cooking
section it is only necessary to remove the smoke shelf.

F4: Stoves with cooking section (HWAM Monet H)
• Stove F1, F2: First lift the smoke shelf (1) out of the steel rail (2) at the back of the combustion
chamber. Next, lower it under the holders (3) and slide out at an angle.
• Stove F3, F4: First lift the smoke shelf (1) from the rail in the rear plate. Next, lower it under the
holders (3) and slide out at an angle
• Stove F1, F3: The bafe plate (4) is lifted from the holders (5), under the top plate and edged out.
• Stove F2, F4: If the bafe plate (6) has to be removed, the bottom stones are removed from the
cooking section. After this the screws (7) are dismounted. If necessary change the screws when
remounting.
Ashes
The ash pan is best emptied by pulling a waste bag over the pan, tipping it and then carefully pulling it out
of the bag. Ashes are disposed of via the domestic waste collection.
Please note that there may be embers in the ashes for up to 24 hours after the fire has
gone out!
Insulation
The efficient, but porous insulation of the combustion chamber may, in time, become worn and damaged.
Cracks in the insulation have no effect on the efficiency of the stove. The insulation should be replaced,
however, when it is reduced to less than half the original thickness due to wear and tear.
Automatics (Drawing G)
Lift off the rear panel. On a cold stove, the starting point of the feeler is controlled. The starting point
on a cold stove is about 10
0
above horizontal. It should feel easy going and bouncy when you push it,
no matter if the stove is cold or hot. By rising or falling temperatures it must not move at a bound. The
damper plates must be dry and clean and slide together unhindered. Control bars and slide gates may
have to be smeared with WD40 (never oil).
