Damage to the following is not included in HWAM’s ﬁve-year guarantee and claims must therefore

be made within eight days of receipt: External steel parts, surface treatment, glass, ﬁreproof material,

smoke plate, shaking grate, seals and bimetallic surfaces.

Legislation

The installation of WALL must be carried out in accordance with current local authority legislation

and building regulations. The builder can be held responsible for these and we therefore recommend

contacting the local chimney sweep before installing the stove.

Requirements of the room

There must be a supply of fresh combustion air to the room in which the stove is to be installed. A

window that can be opened or an adjustable air vent are considered adequate, but it is also possible

to equip the stove with an HWAM fresh-air system.

Please be aware that not all glass parts are heat-resistant. For this reason, a glass wall should some-

times be treated as a ﬂammable wall, in which case we ask you to contact your local chimney sweep

or glass producer to hear at what distance the stove should be kept from glass.

There must always be a non-combustible surface beneath WALL. If there is a wooden ﬂoor or similar

beneath the stove, this must be covered by a non-combustible material to a distance of 30 cm in front

of the stove and 15 cm to each side of the stove’s loading door.

Before installing the stove, a check should be carried out to ensure that the underlying surface or the

wall can carry the weight of the stove and any transferred weight from the chimney or the smoke

tube.
