The chimney must be equipped with an easily accessible cleaning door, but not with a smoke outlet

directly at the top.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Maintenance should only be carried out when the stove is cold. Daily maintenance is limited to a

minimum. It is easiest to vacuum the outside of the stove using a small nozzle with soft bristles. The

stove can also be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush. But remember, only when the stove

is cold. At the end of the winter period, the stove should be given thorough maintenance, including

emptying the combustion chamber of ashes and soot.

Ashes

The ash pan is most easily emptied by drawing a bag over the pan, turning it upside down and then

carefully removing it from the bag.

Check regularly to see that the gasket is whole and still soft. If not, it should be replaced. Use only

original gaskets. Ashes can be placed in the waste bin.

Note that there may be hot embers in the ashes up to 24 hours after the stove has gone

out!

Insulation

The effective insulation of the combustion chamber may become worn after a time. If the insulation

cracks, this will not affect the efﬁciency of the stove, but it should be replaced when wear and tear

has removed more than half of the original thickness of the insulation.

Automatics, drawing C

Left side plate is lifted off. By a cold stove, the starting point of the feeler is controlled. The starting

point by a cold stove is when the feeler points to the left side of the stove and has a degree of 500

from horizontal. It must be easy going and bouncy when you push it, no matter if the stove is cold or

hot. The control bar for the automatics must slide unhindered.

Cleaning the window

If the interior of the window needs cleaning, the two guide pins at the top of the sides of the glass

frame should be removed. The door can then be removed by tilting it.

Paper towels is best for cleaning the inside of the glass.

Ordinary detergent such as a window cleaning agent can be used to clean the outside of the glass.

We recommend only cleaning the window when the stove is cold.

Check regularly to see that the seal around the door is intact and still soft. If it is not it should be

replaced. Use only original seals.

• Remove the plug from the power supply socket

• Lift the screen front off

• Tilt and remove the door

• Remove one of the lock nuts on the axle while supporting the other side
