INTRODUCTION
You are now the proud owner of the Hyundai Solar Durable Lantern
Light! For best results study the manual carefully before using the
Hyundai Solar Durable Lantern Light. Please keep this manual handy
for ready reference.
During the day, the solar panel converts solar power into energy
and stores it in the rechargeable battery. At night, the light turns on
automatically and uses energy stored in the battery. The duration of
the illumination will depend on your geographical location, weather
conditions and seasonal light availability.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Solar light has a solar panel that converts sunlight into electricity.
During the day, the electricity converted by the solar panel is stored
in the rechargeable battery. At night, the solar light is powered by
the battery using the electricity stored during the day. The operating
time depends on geographical location, daily weather conditions and
season.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT LOCATION
Select a location with full, direct sunlight. Do not install in shady areas
as these areas will not allow the battery to be fully charged and will
reduce nighttime working hours. Be sure that the selected location is
not close to other nighttime light sources such as street lights or porch
lights. These light sources may keep the solar lights from turning on
automatically.
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
No tools required for assembly and installation.
1. Pull out the solar
2. Remove the insulating strip
3. Pull out the base with spike
4. Insert the spike into the other side of the base
5. Insert the base back into the lamp shade
6. Complete

CHARGING THE BATTERY
For optimum performance, it is best to install the solar lights in full
sunlight and charge for 10-12 hours. Allow the light to run at least
8-12 entire charging and discharging cycles to reach batteries
maximum capacity.
HOW TO INSERT IT INTO THE GROUND CORRECTLY?
How does the solar light work?
The solar light has a solar panel that converts sunlight into electricity.
During the day, the converted electricity is stored in the rechargeable
Ni-Mh batteries. At night, the solar light is powered by the batteries
using the electricity stored during the day. The more sunlight it
recieves, the longer time it works.
How to choose a right location
Install the solar light in a location with full, direct sunlight. Ensure that
the installation location is away from other nighttime light sources such
as street lights or porch lamps. These sources may prevent solar light
from automatically turning on.
How to replace the battery
Loosen the screws on the back of the solar panel, replace the old
battery with a new AA Ni-Mh rechargeable battery.
How long does the solar light work?
The operating time depends on geographical location, daily weather
conditions, and season. For optimum performance, it is best to install
the solar light in full direct sunlight and let it charge for 8 to 10 hours
before the rst use. Then it will work 6-8 hours or longer time at night.
TROUBLESHOOTING
It doesn’t light up on the night at rst use
• Ensure the insulating strip is removed.
• Take out the battery, wipe it’s both polarities of -/+ with a dry and
clean cloth, put it back correctly and check the contact with the
metal plate and spring.
• Make sure to charge it for at least 5 hours in direct sunlight.
• Keep it away from the other light sources, porch light, such as street
light, etc.
It doesn’t work much time after charging.
• Ensure the solar panel is clean and complete without damage.
• Finish the battery check
• Check the location to charge, ensure it is in a sunny area without
block where the battery can fully charge during the day time.
• Ensure to get at least 1 whole sunny day to charge the battery
before initial use or after a weeks’storage when theb battery is fully
discharged.
