be free fr om defects in workmanship and mat erials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one
(1) year fr om the date of original pur chase.
Should this product fail t o function in a satisfactory manner , it is best to first return it t o the stor e where it
was originally pur chased. Should this fail to r esolve the matt er and service still be r equired b y reason of
any defect or malfunction during the warranty period, SDI will repair or , at its discretion, replace this pr oduct
without charge. T his decision is subject to v erification of the defect or malfunction upon deliv ery of this
product to the F actory Servic e Center authorized b y Customer Servic e.

A Consumer Guide t o Product Saf ety
IMPORT ANT S AFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When used in the dir ected manner , this unit has been designed and manufactur ed to ensur e
your personal saf ety . How ev er , improper use can r esult in potential electrical shock or fir e
hazards. Please r ead all safety and oper ating instructions car efully before ins tallation and
use, and keep these instructions handy for future r efer ence. T ak e special note of all warnings
listed in these instructions and on the unit.
1.
W ater and Moisture – T he unit should not be used near wat er . For e x
ample: near a
bathtub
, washbo wl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, s wimming pool or in a wet basement.
2. V entilation – The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not interfer e
with its proper v entilation. For e xample , it should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug
or similar surf
ace that may block v entilation openings. Also, it should not be plac
ed
in a built-in ins
tallation, such as a bookcase or cabinet, which ma y impede the flow of
air through the v entilation openings.
3.
Heat – The unit should be situat ed aw ay fr om heat sourc es such as radiat ors, heat
regist ers, sto ves or other appliances (including amplifiers) tha t produce heat.

Pow er Sour ces – The unit should be c onnected to a po w e
r supply only of the type
described in the oper
ating instructions or as mark ed on the appliance.
5. Pow er-Cable Prot ection – Pow er supply cables should be rout ed so that they ar e not
likely t o be walk ed on or pinched by it ems placed upon or against them. It is alw ay s
best to ha ve a clear ar ea fr om where the cable e xits the unit to wher e it is plugged into
an A C socket.

Cleaning – The unit should be cleaned only as r ecommended. See the Maintenanc
e
section of this manual f
or cleaning instructions.
7 . Objects and Liquid Entry – Care should be tak en so that objects do not fall and liquids
are not spilled int o any openings or v ents located on the
pr
oduct.
8.
Attachments – Do not use attachments not r ecommended b y the product manuf acturer .
9. Lightning and Pow er Sur ge Protection – Unplug the unit fr om the wall sock
et and
disc
onnect the antenna or cable sy stem during a lightning s t
orm or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods of time. T his will pr ev ent damage to the
pr
oduct due to lightning and po wer-line sur ges.
10. Overloading – Do not o verload wall sock ets, ext ension cor ds, or integr al conv enience
rec eptacles as this can result in a risk of fir e or electric shock.
11. Damage Requiring Service – T he unit should be serviced b y qualified service personnel
when:
A. the po
wer supply cable or plug has been damaged.
B. objects ha
ve f allen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosur e.
C. the unit has been e
xposed to r ain.

the unit has been dr
opped or the enclosure damaged.
E. the unit exhibits a marked change in perf ormance or does not oper ate normally .
12. Periods of Nonuse – If the unit is to be left unused for an e xtended period of time , such
as a month or longer , the pow er cable should be unplugged from the unit t o pre v ent
damage or corr osion.

Servicing – The user should not attempt t o service the unit be yo
nd those methods
described in the user’s operating instructions. Servic e methods not co v ered in the
oper
ating instructions should be r eferred t o qualified service personnel.
Lithium-ion Battery
Internal Rechar geable Lithium-ion Battery
This de vice uses an int ernal rechar geable lithium-ion battery that should last the
lifetime of the de vice. If y ou suspect your battery ma y be dead, try charging it
sev eral times. If the battery does not r echarge , please contact Cust omer Service
