InStyler is completely dry before plugging it into any power source.You can nd more

Basic steps – for all hair types

• Only use your InStyler when your hair is clean and completely dry.

• Detangle your hair using a brush and comb out all sections for the best possible

results and to achieve high shine.

• The sections of hair to be styled should not exceed the length of the InStyler barrel.

We recommend working with hair sections measuring 2.5 to 7 cm in width to

start, for whatever style you wish to achieve.

• Start with the under hair layers. Once you have nished styling these sections,

you can style the top layers.

• You can use all branded salon quality styling products with your InStyler. However,

we do not recommend that you use oil-based products with the appliance.

• For better hold, you may like to use your preferred brand of light styling spray on

each section of hair, before using your InStyler.

• Take your time! It is extremely important that you allow your InStyler to glide

slowly through your hair (5 to 10 seconds per section). Do not worry if you

see “steam” coming off your hair whilst using your InStyler. This will not cause

damage to your hair and is simply excess hair product, which is evaporating from

the hair-shaft.

• Practice makes perfect! This is the best way to nd your preferred styling method!

Hair types

The way you use your InStyler depends on your hair type. You will get the best pos-

sible results from your InStyler if you use the techniques best suited to your hair type.

The three main hair types are:

1. Fine hair – set your InStyler to a low heat setting. You should only need to run the

InStyler through your hair 1-2 times in order to achieve the desired results.

2. Medium to normal hair – set your InStyler to a low - high setting. You should only

need to run the InStyler through your hair 1-2 times in order to achieve the desired

results.

3. Thick or coarse hair – set your InStyler to the highest temperature setting and style

as preferred. For coarse hair, you should only need to run your InStyler through

your hair 2 - 3 times to achieve the best possible results. Try not to rush! Think

about taking your time to allow the appliance to run slowly through the hair.

TIP: For colour-treated hair we recommend using a lightweight shampoo and leave-in

conditioner. For better hold, use volumising products. To nish we recommend using

a high-quality ne hair spray. Although the InStyler can be used at a lower setting

than with other appliances, we recommend using heat protection products before

heat-styling.
