• use the lter holder (8) with the 1 cup lter for one cup of coee, and the two cup lter for two

cups of coee at the same time

• place the lter holder (8) on the pins holder (16), press the switch (15) to grind coee

• after reaching the desired quantity of coee, press the switch (15) to stop the milling

• press the freshly ground coee slightly with the presser supplied

4.2 Preparation of coee

! Make sure the tank is always full of water

• make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4.1)

• ll a one cup lter holder (4) if you want one cup of coee or a two cup lter holder if you want

two cups at the same time, and press the coee slightly with the presser

• t the lter holder (4) in the coee distribution unit (3) and twist from left to right  to block

it in place

• place one or two cups under the lter holder (4)

• push the coee lever (12) up. Coee will come out the bottom of the lter holder (4)

• lower the lever (12) when you have enough coee

• if you want to make more coee remove the lter holder (4) by turning it from right to left 

and empty out the used grounds. Repeat the above operations

4.4 Distribution of hot water

! Make sure the tank is always full of water

• make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4.1)

• ll the lter holder (8), with the one cup lter for one cup only or with the two cup lter for two

cups at the same time, and press the coee slightly with the special presser

• t the lter holder (8) in the coee distribution unit (7) and twist from left to right  to block it

• place one or two cups on the cup rack (12) under the lter holder (8)

• press the coee switch (3). Coee will come out of the bottom of the lter holder (8)

• press the coee switch again (3) when you have enough coee desiderata

• if you want to make more coee remove the lter holder (8) by turning it from right to left 

and empty out the used grounds. Repeat the above operations

4.5 Distribution of steam

! Always make sure the tank is full of water

! never place your hands or other parts of the body in the path of the water/steam nozzle. Hot

water and steam can cause serious burns

• make sure the machine is pressurized (see paragraph 4.1)

• place a container under the steam/ hot water nozzle (11)

• press the steam switch (5). The steam light (6) and the coee light (4) will both light up together

• wait about 30 seconds

• immerse the water/steam nozzle (11) in the liquid to be heated

• turn the knob on the steam/hot water tap (10) counter-clockwise 

• steam will come out of the bottom of the steam/hot water nozzle (11)

• heat the liquid with the steam

• turn the knob on the steam/hot water tap (10) clockwise  to stop the steam

• press the steam switch again (5).

! do not forget to turn the steam switch (5) o after using the steam function.

If it does not work this will be signaled by the steam light that stays lit (6)

5. RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

To enjoy excellent coee:

• purchase a good brand of coee in beans

• keep the coee in beans in a dry place

• grind the coee beans fresh when you make coee

• measure and press the ground coee slightly to pack it more uniformly

For boiling hot coee:

• leave the lter holder with the empty lter in the coee distribution unit at all times

• rinse the lter holder and lter with boiling hot water by pressing the coee switch

• use the same boiling water to pre-heat the cups

For a delicious cappuccino:

• use a tall narrow milk pitcher half full

• immerse the steam/hot water nozzle 1 cm into the milk

• open the tap with the knob

• the milk will be covered with a creamy froth

If you just want to heat the milk:

• immerse the steam/hot water nozzle all the way into the milk

• open the steam/hot water tap with the knob

• close the tap when the milk is hot enough

6. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

! Before performing any routine maintenance make sure the machine is unplugged, without

pulling the power cable, or that the main circuit breaker is o

! do not use detergents or abrasive substances to clean the machine

To ensure good upkeep of the MAVERICK PLUS machine we recommend cleaning it every day:

• clean the water tank regularly

• change the water in the tank frequently if the machine is only used occasionally

• remove the residues of coee by soaking the lters in hot water

• clean the drip tray and cup rack with hot water

• clean the steam/hot water nozzle to prevent obstruction of the holes in the end

• clean the structure and all the external parts of the machine with a damp cloth. Dry with a dry

cloth to remove any halo and shine the machine

• clean the funnel (bottom part of the coee distribution unit) to remove all residues of coee

with a damp cloth and run water through it by pressing the coee switch

7. INVALIDATION OF THE WARRANTY

The warranty will be invalidated and the manufacturer will not accept liability for any damage due

to failure to follow the instructions in this manual.

For operations other than those described contact a qualied service center or the manufacturer.
