Digital Thermometer Components
Before using the Digital Thermometer
• Check the product is intact. DO NOT use if broken.
• Read the instruction manual thoroughly before taking the measurement.
• Allow product to rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature (5˚C – 32˚C).
• The user must remain in a stable environment for at least 5 minutes prior to taking a reading.
• T est the user’s temperature when they are well so there is a comparison when they are unwell.
• T emperature readings are affected by many factors including physical exertion, the drinking
of hot or cold beverages before measurement, as well as measuring technique.
• Avoid using the product during or within 30 minutes after exercise; a shower , bath or sauna;
using a cold compress; heavy alcohol consumption; smoking and food or drink intake.
• Underarms must be c lean and free of sweat, deodorant and scars, etc. for underarm use.
• Always make sure the thermometric sensor is c lean before each use.
• When measuring the temperature of an infant, note that infant body temperature is generally
higher than adult body temperature and easily affected by external factors. For example, bod y
temperature tends to increase after nursing or crying. Therefore, it is recommended to take
measurements when the infant is calm.
Using the Digital Thermometer
The use of temperature readings for self-diagnosis is dangerous. Consult with a doctor for
the interpretation of results. Self-diagnosis may lead to the worsening of medical conditions.
Switching the measuring unit between °C and °F
• While the product is OFF , press and hold the ON/OFF button for approximately 2 seconds
until the measuring unit changes. The product will automa tically save your choice once you
let go of the button and run a self-check before going into measurement mode.
T aking a T emperature Measurement
• Note: The ambient temperature for use must be between 5-32°C. This product is a maximum
thermometer , i.e. the displayed temperature can increase slightly if measurement continues
after the beep. Holding the product too long may cause a higher ambient temperature reading
of the probe. This could make the bod y temperature measurement lower than usual.
Before using, please disinfect the thermometric tip (refer to Cleaning section).
1. T o turn on, press the button
next to the screen; a short beep will
sound, indicating that the product is
operational.
6. Refer to Methods of measuring temperature section for placement instructions.
7. Keep the user still during the measurement.
8. During the measurement, the °C or °F symbol “ashes” and a temperature will be
displayed that will continue to change until a constant temperature is reached.
9. As soon as the constant temperature value is reached (approx. 10 seconds)*, a beep
will sound 10 times and the °C or °F symbol will stop ashing.
10. Once the beeping has stopped the measurement is completed. Remove the product
from the measurement site.
11. The highest temperature measured appears on the screen.
12. T urn the product off by pressing the button.
13. Although the product will turn off automatically after 10 minutes, to conserve power it
is recommended to turn the product off manually after each reading.
14. The reading will automatically be stored in the memory.
15. The measurement continues even after the beeping has stopped. In order to achieve better
body temperature measurement results, it is recommend to keep the probe in mouth and
rectum for an additional 2 minutes, or in armpit about for an additional 5 minutes after the
beeping sound.
• Note: Result times may vary due to the individual and method used.
Memory Function
• The last measured temperature will display on the screen for approximately 2 seconds after
the self-check when the product is turned on.
Methods of Measuring T emperature
• Note: Measurement accurac y cannot be assured when the method used to measure the
temperature is incorrect. If multiple measurements are taken over a period of time, it is
important to use the same method of measurement each time so the results are comparable,
i.e. do not interchange between oral, rectal or underarm measurements. If taking multiple
measurements within a short period of time, allow the thermometer to return to room
temperature prior to taking each measurement.

At the same time the product runs a self-
check test, during which
all the digital segments
appear on the screen.

37.0°C or 98.6°F will
display for 2 seconds.
