5.1, Installing the filter
Your IMPRESSA E10/20/25 is switched off.
Ⅲ Fold up the cartridge holder in the water tank. Now insert the
filter cartridge in the water tank, applying gentle pressure
(Fig. 1).
Ⅲ Close the cartridge holder until it engages audibly.
Ⅲ Fill the water tank with cold tap water and reinstall it in the
coffee machine (Fig.4).
Ⅲ Press draw-off key (5) until the set water hardness is dis-
played.
Ⅲ Press draw-off key (5) until the only symbol lighting up is .
Ⅲ Press the ON/OFF (6) key to confirm.

Ⅲ Place a sufficiently large receptacle under the steam / hot water
draw-off tap.
Ⅲ Open the steam / hot water draw-off tap (Fig.13).
Ⅲ Draw off water until symbol lights up.
Ⅲ Close the steam / hot water draw-off tap.

5.2 Replacing the filter upon display request
After drawing off 50 liters of water the filter cartridge will
be used up. A message requesting you to replace the filter
will appear on the display

Ⅲ Remove the water tank (11) from the machine and empty it.
Ⅲ Fold up the cartridge holder. Install the filter cartridge in the
water tank (11), applying a gentle pressure (Fig. 4).
Ⅲ Fold down the cartridge holder again until it engages audibly.
Ⅲ Fill the water tank (11) with cold, fresh tap water and reinstall it.
Ⅲ Place a sufficiently large jug (approx. 1 litre) under the replace-
able hot water nozzle (14) and open the steam/hot water tap (Fig.
13).

5.3 Changing the filter without display request

Ⅲ Turn the water quantity switch (1) until

described in Chapter 5.2 as from
