General safety instructions

DANGER Ɣ࣯Risk of asphyxiation. Keep pack-

aging film out of the reach of children. Ɣ࣯Operation in

explosive atmospheres is prohibited. Ɣ࣯Risk of explo-

sion

ƔNever use the device to vacuum up combustible

gases, liquids or dusts.

ƔNever use the device to vacuum up reactive metal

dusts (e.g. aluminium, magnesium, zinc).

ƔNever use the device to vacuum up undiluted brine

or acids.

ƔNever use the device to vacuum up any burning or

smouldering objects/matter.

These substances can corrode the materials in use on

the device.

WARNING Ɣ࣯Only use the device for its proper

use. Take into account the local conditions and beware

of third parties, in particular children, when working with

the device. Ɣ࣯Persons with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities and persons lacking experience

and knowledge may only use the appliance if they are

properly supervised, have been instructed on use of the

appliance safely by a person responsible for their safety,

and understand the resultant hazards involved. Ɣ࣯Only

people who have been instructed on how to use the de-

vice, or have proven their ability to operate it, and have

been explicitly instructed to use it, must use the device.

Ɣ࣯Children must not operate the device. Ɣ࣯Children from

the minimum age of 8 may use the appliance if they are

properly supervised or have been instructed in its use

by a person responsible for their safety, and if they have

understood the resultant hazards involved. Ɣ࣯Children

must be supervised to prevent them from playing with

the appliance. Ɣ࣯Children may only perform cleaning

work and user maintenance under supervision. Ɣ࣯Ad-

here to the respective safety regulations in hazard

zones (e.g. service stations). Never operate the device

in explosive spaces. Ɣ࣯Only use the device for its proper

use. Take into account the local conditions and beware

of third parties, in particular children, when working with

the device. Ɣ࣯The appliance contains electrical compo-

nents - do not clean the appliance under running water.

Ɣ࣯Risk of injury. Do not use the nozzle and suction pipe

at head height. Ɣ࣯Avoid switching the device on uninten-

tionally. Make sure that the on/off switch is in the off po-

sition before connecting the battery pack, lifting or

carrying the device. Ɣ࣯You must not charge or store the

device outdoors or in a car.

CAUTION Ɣ࣯Safety devices are provided for

your own protection. Never modify or bypass safety de-

vices. Ɣ࣯Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped

beforehand, is visibly damaged or if it is leaking. Ɣ࣯Nev-

er leave the device unsupervised while it is in operation.

Ɣ࣯Only operate or store the device in accordance with

the description or figure. Ɣ࣯In order to prevent accidents

or injuries, you must observe the weight of the device

when transporting it. Ɣ࣯Accidents or damage due to the

device falling over. Before all actions with or on the de-

vice, you must make sure that it is stable. Ɣ࣯Do not make

any changes to the device, and only use accessories

and spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.

Ɣ࣯Risk of injury when loose fitting clothing, hair or jewel-

lery is caught by moving parts of the device. Keep cloth-

ing and jewellery away from moving parts of the device.

Tie long hair back.

ATTENTION Ɣ࣯Do not operate the device at tem-

peratures below 0 °C. Ɣ࣯Never use the device without a

filter, this can lead to device damage. Ɣ࣯Only use the de-

vice indoors.

plate.

in the "Device description" chapter.

Intended use

Only use the device with battery packs and chargers

from the KÄRCHER Battery Power 4 V system.

This universal vacuum cleaner is intended for private

use at home and not for commercial purposes. The

manufacturer is not liable for any damage that may oc-

cur on account of improper use or incorrect operation.

Use the universal vacuum cleaner only with:

ƔOriginal filters

ƔOriginal spare parts, accessories and special acces-

sories.

The universal vacuum cleaner is not suitable for:

ƔVacuuming off human beings or animals.

ƔVacuuming up:

–Small living creatures (e.g. flies, spiders, etc.).

–Substances that are harmful for health, have-

sharp edges or are hot or glowing.

–Moist or liquid substances.

–Easily flammable or explosive substances and

gases.

Any other use is prohibited. The user shall be liable for

hazards arising as a result of improper use.
