1) What can it do?
The Katadyn Bottle is a water filter for untreated clear water, for instance from
lakes, rivers, alpine wells and brooks, or from hotels in southern countries. Ideal
for holidays and business travels, biking, hike tours and other outdoor activities.
If you are going on extreme tours and encounter murky waters, we recommend
our specially developed Katadyn products.
Katadyn Bottle - no quarters for Bacteria & Associates
• eliminates over 99,9999% of all bacteria
• kills over 99,99% of all viruses
• removes over 99,9% of all protozoa (e.g. giardia)
• removes bad odour and smell from water
The core element of the Katadyn Bottle is a 3-stage filter. In the first stage, the
water flows from the bottom up through the Cyst Filter which removes all proto-
zoal germs from the water - for instance the pathogens of amoeba, giardiasis,
cryptosporidiosis and bilharzia. The second filter stage is the Virustat¨ cartridge
with penta-iodide(I5) iodine resin where all the bacteria and viruses are killed off.
