When watching movies at night , you might not be able to raise thevolume
as loud as normal. Midnlght mode compresses the dynamic range of
previously specified parts of the Dolby Digital sound track (like scenes
with sudden Increases In volume) to mlnlmlze the difference In volume
between the specified and non-specified parts. This makes it easy to hear
all of the sound track, even when listening at low volumes.
0 Press the SOUND key repeatedly until “NIGHT” appears on the
display.

This can be selected onlv if CD/DVD. DVD/Gch, VIDEO2 or VIDEO3
IS selected as the source and the listen mode IS set to “DOLBY
DIGITAL.”
0 Use the MULTI CONTROL knob or keys to select the ON or
OFF setting. c

Some Dolby Digital software may not be compatible with the Midnlght
mode.
When you enjoy multi sound from the stereo source (Circle Surround),
you can select the circle surround mode.
0 Press the LISTEN MODE or LSTN M. key repeatedly until
“CIRCLE SURROUND” appears on the display.
0 Press the SOUND key repeatedly until “CINEMA” or “MUSIC”
appears on the display.
6 Use the MULTI CONTROL knob or keys to select “CINEMA”
(for movies) or “MUSIC” (for music).
When listening to music, you will be able to enjoy the “wraparound”
sound effect when you adjust the panorama mode.
Press the SOUND key repeatedly until “PANORAMA” appears
on the display.

Center width adjustment allows you to enjoy an enchanced sound when
listening to music through center image from only center speaker, or left
and right speakers or various combinations adjustments.
0 Press the SOUND key repeatedly until “CENTER WIDTH”
appears on the display.

When the center speaker IS switched OFF, this mode will not
be effective.
