CONNECTIONS
The DG 30 digital piano is equipped with the following connections in the control panel under the keyboard:
OUTPUTS:2 Right and Left audio stereo outputs, to which external amplifiers, mixer consoles or PA systems can be connected.
INPUTS:2 Right and Left audio stereo inputs to which keyboards, compact disk drives or other equipment complete with linear
signal output can be connected.
PEDALS:Socket for the connection connector of the 3 pedals to the console of the DG 30.
MIDI In/Out/Thru: MIDI sockets. The MIDI unit is a digital interface used to communicate and exchange musical data between electronic
instruments equipped with MIDI.
HEADPHONES:There are two stereo headphones on the left hand side of the instrument under the keyboard. The headphones are used
to practice on your own or to play right through the night without disturbing anybody.
The built-in speakers amplification system is automatically disabled when the headphones are connected.
AMPLIFICATION SYSTEM
The DG 30 is equipped with a built-in stereo amplification system that includes a 2 x 25 W RMS amplifier and a set of wide band speakers
MASTER VOLUME
The volume cursor controls the total sound level of the instrument. To adequately reproduce the sound of the piano, you are recommended not
to exceed 50-70% of the total volume, since this value allows you to obtain a sound level comparable with that of a traditional acoustic piano.
KEYBOARD / PEDALS
The DG 30 is equipped with a keyboard of 88 high quality weighed keys, sensitive to the touch.
It also avails of 3 pedals that are capable of reproducing the range of the expressive effects similar to those produced by the pedals of the
acoustic piano.
●
SSOOFFTT
(left pedal): this tones down the volume and the brilliance of the sound.
●
SSUUSSTTAAIINN
(right pedal): it works just like the typical Sustain pedal on the acoustic piano and extends the notes played.
●
HHOOLLDD
(middle pedal): it works just like the Sustain pedal but the notes held are only those pressed when the pedal is activated.
This function is used, for example, to extend a chord while the other notes are played in separately.
PRESETS
The DG 30 is equipped with
1166 PPrreesseett
s, namely pre-selected voices, which however cannot be programmed. There are 8 keys used to select the
Voices and they are situated on the right hand side of the display. 2 Voices are assigned to each of the 8 keys. When the LED of the
VVaarriiaattiioonn
key is switched off, the 8 keys are used to select the sounds written under the keys (Grand, Rock etc.); when the
VVaarriiaattiioonn
key is lit, they are
used to select the sounds written above the keys ( Upright, Honky etc. ).
The names written on the panel only refer to the Presets (and not to the Programs ).
To select a Preset, check if the LED of the Program key is switched off first.

DUAL MODE
The Dual Mode is used to select two Preset Voices simultaneously. If, for example, you wish to play Piano and Strings together, press and hold
the Grand key down and then press the Strings key too. In this case the Strings Voice is denominated 2nd Voice, since it is the second one
pressed. If a Preset Voice amongst the first 8 locations is to be played in Dual Mode with another amongst the second 8, such as Grand and
Choir for example, press the Grand key first and hold it down, then press Variation and then, holding both keys down, press the key relative to
the Choir Voice too. The Dual mode works exclusively with the Presets (and not with the Programs ).
