R OOM PLACEMENT
Before Y ou Start — Some Klipsch speakers have feet and other accessories
that may need to be installed prior to use. Please refer to Dia grams 1, 2 and 3
for installation.
Left and Right Main Channel Speakers — F or o pt im u m pe rf or man ce , K li ps ch
suggests placing your speakers six to 15 feet (2 to 4.5m) apart and at least 24 inch-
es (60.8cm) from the back and side walls. They may also be toed-in slightly for better
st er eo i ma gi ng . T he l is te ni ng po si ti on sh ou ld b e abo ut 1 t o 1. 5 ti me s the d is ta nc e
separating the speakers. Refer to Figures 1 and 3 for connection and placement.
Center Channel Speakers — Center channel speakers are designed to place
dialogue and primary sounds so that the y appear to come from the video screen.
The speakers should therefore be placed as close to the screen as possible,
pre ferabl y dir ect ly on top o f or below th e scr een . Refer to F igure s 1 , 2 and 3 for
connection and placement.

CONNECTING
Conventional Connection — Usin g 1 6-gau ge or la rger spe aker wir e, conn ect
the RED “posi tiv e” (+) termi nal o f t he LE FT sp eak er to th e RED “pos itive ” (+ )
terminal of your amplifier’ s LEFT channel. Connect the BLACK “negative” (–) ter-
min al of th e LEF T spe ake r to the BLAC K “n egat ive” ( –) termi nal of y our a mpl ifier’ s
LEF T cha nne l. Repe at th is proce dur e for conne cting all rem ainin g s peake rs to th e
appropriate amplifier channels. Refer to Figure 3. Make sure that no bare wires
fro m any of th e con necti ons touc h a ny oth er te rmina ls as th is co uld caus e a shor t
and damage your equipment.
Some Synergy speakers come with dual binding posts that are connected by a
metal strip. Do not remove this strip or your speakers will not function correctly .
Keep this strip in place and connect your speaker wire to the top set of the
binding posts. It is possible to “Bi-wire” a speaker that has two sets of binding
posts. Please see your receiver’ s manual for further instructions.
Amplifier Requirements — Klip sch spea kers are high ly effi cient an d wil l

com patibl e and can be dr ive n to very high level s w ith l ow disto rtion . Due to t he

wit h the vo lume contr ol. Exce ssive vo lume ove r lon g per iod s can pe rmane ntl y
damage your hearing. Overdriving your amplifier could also damage your speak-
ers. Check with your dealer to make sure your particular amplifier is best suited to
your application. W e want you listening f or a lifetime.
CARE AND CLEANING
The only thing you should ever need to do to your speakers is dust them oc-
casionally . Never appl y any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner or any harsh deter-
gent. Y ou can clean the grilles with the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner .
WARRANTY – U .S. AND CANAD A
Klipsch warrant s to the original retail purchaser that this product is to be free
from defective materials and work manshi p for a period of fi ve ( 5 ) years from
the date of purchase, if it is properly used and maintained. If this product
proves defective in either material or workmanship, Klipsch, at its option,
will (a ) repair the produc t, or ( b ) replace the product, at no charge for par ts
or labor . If t he product model is no longer available and cannot be repaired
ef fectively or replaced with an identical mo del, Klipsch at its sole option may
replace the unit with a current model of equal or greater value . I n some cases,
modifi cation to the mounting surface may be required where a new model is
substituted. K lipsch assumes no responsibility or liability for such modi fication.
T o obtain a repair or replacement under the terms of this warrant y , please
return to dealer first, i f possible, and they wil l direct you acc ording l y for repairs
or replacement. Y ou will be required to subm it a copy of the original receipt.
Limitations:
This limited warranty d oes not cover failu re of the product resulting from •
improper installation, misuse , abuse, accident, neglect, mishandling, or
wear from ordinary use o r environ mental deterioration.
This limited warranty d oes not cover cosmetic damage, i ncluding paint •
damage, or consequential damage to other components or premises
which may result for an y reason from the failure of the product.
This limited warranty is null and void for products n ot used in accordance •
