SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions - All the safety and ope rating instru ctions shoul d be
read before t he product is oper ated.
2. Retain instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be
retained for futu re reference.
3. Heed Warnings - All warnin gs on the product and in the oper ating
instructions sho uld be adhere d to.
4. Follow Instructions - All operati ng and use instructions should be
followed.
5. Cleaning - Unplug this pro duct from the wal l outlet befo re cleaning. Do
not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cle aning.
6. Attachme nts - Do not use attachme nts not reco mmended by the
product manufacturer as they may ca use hazards.
7. Water and Moisture - Do not use this produc t near water- for example ,
near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, o r laundry tub; in a wet ba sement;
or near a swimming pool; and the like.
8. Accessories - Do not place this product o n an unstable ca rt, stand,
tripod, bracke t, or table. The product may fal l, causing se rious injury to a
child or adul t and serio us damage to the pr oduct. Use only with a cart,
stand, tripod, bracke t, or table reco mmended by the manu facturer, or sold
with the produ ct. Any mountin g of the produ ct should foll ow the
manufacturer’s instructions , and should use a mounting a ccessory
recommended b y the manufact urer.
9. Cart - A product a nd cart combi nation should be
moved with care. Quick sto ps, excessive force, and
uneven surfaces may c ause the product and c art
combination to overturn .
10. Ventilation - Slots and openin gs in the cabinet
are provided for ven tilation to ensure re liable
operation of the product and to pr otect it from overheat ing. These
openings must not be b locked or covered. The opening s should never be
blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, o r other similar surface .
This product sho uld not be pl aced in a built-in ins tallation su ch as a
bookcase or rack un less proper ventilati on is provided or the
manufacturer’s instructions h ave been adhered to.
11. Power Sources - This product should be opera ted only from the type of
power source indicated o n the marking label and conne cted to a MAINS
socket outlet with a protec tive earthing connec tion. If you are not sure o f
the type of power su pply to your ho me, consult your prod uct dealer or local
power company.
12. Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords shoul d b e r ou te d s o t ha t
they are not li kely to be walked on or pin ched by items plac ed upon or
against them, paying particul ar attention to cords at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and t he point where they exit from the p roduct.
13. Mains Plug - Where the mains plug or an a ppliance coupler is used as
the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readi ly operable.
14. Lightning - For adde d protection fo r this product during a lig htning
storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods o f time,
unplug it from the wall outl et and disconn ect the antenn a or cable sys tem.
This will pre vent damage to the prod uct due to l ightning a nd power-l ine
surges.
15. Overloading - Do not overloa d wall outle ts, extension cords, or inte gral
convenience receptacles as this can r esult in a risk of fire or elect ric shock.
16. Flame Sources - No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles,
should be placed on the product.
17. Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this
product thro ugh openin gs as they ma y touch dange rous vo ltage points o r
short-out pa rts that co uld resul t in a fire or e lectric sh ock. Nev er spill liqu id
of any kind on t he product.
18. Loudspeakers - Excessive sound pressure from loudspeakers can cause
hearing loss.
19. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this produc t from the wa ll outlet
and refer servicing to qualifie d service personnel under the following
conditions:
a. When the power-supply c ord or plug is damag ed.
b. If liquid has been sp illed, or object s have fallen into the p roduct.
c. If the produ ct has been ex posed to rain or water.
d. If the product does not opera te normally by f ollowing t he operating
instructions. Adjust only those contr ols that are covered by th e operating
i n s t r u c t i o n s a s a n i m p r o p e r a d j u s t m e n t o f o t h e r c o n t r o l s m a y r e s u l t i n
damage and will often require extensive wo rk by a qualified technician to
restore the product to its normal o peration.

20. Replacement Parts - When repla cement parts a re required, be sur e the
service techni cian has used replacem ent parts speci fied by the
manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part.
Unauthorized subst itutions may result in fire, electric shoc k, or other
hazards.
21. Safety Check - Upon completion of any servic e or repairs to this
product, ask th e service tech nician to perfo rm safety che cks to determi ne
that the produc t is in proper o perating condit ion.

equilate ral triangle , is intende d to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulat ed “dangerous voltage” wit hin the
product’s enclosur e that may be of suffic ient magnitude t o
constitute a risk of ele ctric shock to persons

The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no
objects filled wit h liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.
Mains plug is us ed as disconne ct device and it s hould rema in readily
operable during i ntended use. In order to disconnect the app aratus from
the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the
mains socket outlet completely.
Battery sha ll not be e xposed to exce ssive heat such as sunshine, fire o r the
like.
CAUTION
An appliance with a prote ctive earth terminal shou ld be connected to a
mains outlet with a protective earth connection.

NOTES ON ENVI RONMENT AL PROTECTI ON
At the end of its useful l ife, this produc t must not be d isposed o f with
regular hous ehold waste but must be returne d to a colle ction point for the
recycling of elec trical and elect ronic equipm ent. The symbol on th e
product, user ’s manual a nd packagin g point th is out.
The materials can be reus ed in accordance with their markings. Thro ugh re-
use, recyclin g of raw mat erials, or other forms of recyc ling of old p roducts,
