Keep the appliance and its lead out of reach of children
aged under 8 years
The temperature of the accessible surfaces
may be high when the appliance is in
operation.
Check that the electricity supply is compatible with the
power and voltage indicated beneath the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for operation by means
of an external timer or a separate remote control
system. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance must not be immersed in water. Never
place the appliance or the lead in water.
Remove all packaging, labels or accessories from both
the inside and the outside of the appliance.
Fully unwind the lead before plugging in the appliance.
If an extension lead is used it should be of suitable
construction, power rating and fitted with an earthed
plug.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
What to do
Read the instructions in this manual carefully and keep them readily available. They
are common to all different versions depending on the accessories delivered with your
appliance and should be kept readily available.
If an accident occurs, run cold water immediately over the burn and call a doctor if
necessary.
On first use, wash the plates (see paragraph on CLEANING on page 55), pour a little oil
onto each plate and wipe it with a soft cloth.
If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of reach of children.
Take care with the location of the lead with or without an extension lead, take every
precaution necessary so as not to disturb movement of others around the table so that no
one trips over the lead.
To protect the coating of the cooking plate, always use a plastic or wooden spatula. Check
that the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
