GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
11
WARNING! Do not expose your wheelchair to
open flames.
WARNING! Keep your wheelchair in a dry and
clean condition. Never take your wheelchair into a
shower, tub, pool, or sauna. Rain, snow, salt,
mist/spray conditions, and icy/slippery surfaces can
damage the wheelchair components or cause the
wheelchair frame to prematurely rust.
WARNING! Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or
cold; it may affect the temperature of upholstered
and non-upholstered components on the wheelchair.
Exercise caution when using your wheelchair in
extremely hot or cold conditions.
WARNING! Do not tow your wheelchair. Towing
may exceed the maximum speed threshold,
resulting in damage to critical components of the
wheelchair.
WARNING! Use extreme caution when it is
necessary to move an unoccupied wheelchair up
or down stairs. Remove the seat, batteries, and any
accessories before attempting the transfer. Use proper
lifting techniques and use only solid, non-removable
frame components to lift the wheelchair with multiple
physically capable attendants. Do not lift or move your
wheelchair or seating system by grasping or holding
onto any of its removable parts, including the
armrest(s), seatback, or shrouds.
WARNING! When your wheelchair is used with
any type of lift/elevation devices, always turn off
the power of the wheelchair; make sure the wheelchair
is not in “freewheel” mode and do NOT sit on your
wheelchair. Failure to follow this may result in
unintended movement and personal injury or product
damage.
