Indoor relative
humidity in
RH%
in ºC
The bar graph indicat es the air pressure history tre nd over the last 12 hours in 7 intervals: 0h,
-3h, -6h, -9h and -12h. T he “0h” represents the c urrent full hour air press ure recording. The
columns represent t he “hPa” (0, ±1, ±3, ±5) at specific time. The “0” i n the middle of this scal e
is equal to the curre nt pressure and each change (± 1, ±3, ±5) represents how high or low i n
“hPa“ the past press ure was compared to the curre nt pressure.
If the bars are risi ng it means that the weather is getti ng better due to t he increase of air
pressure. If the bars go dow n, it means the ai r pressure has dropped and t he weather is
expected to get worse from t he present time “0 h“.
Note:
For accurate barometri c pressure trends, the weat her station should operate at t he
same altitude for recordings (i.e. it should not be moved fr om the ground to t he second
floor of the house). W hen the unit is m oved to a new location, discard readi ngs for the
next 12 hours.
The level of the press ure bar will be affected by t he temperature change a nd it is for
reference only.
INDOOR TEMPE RATURE/HUM IDITY DA TA
The indoor temperat ure and humidity data are a utomatically updated and displ ayed on the
first secti on of the LCD.
OUTDOOR TEM PERATURE /HUMIDITY D ATA
The last LCD secti on shows the outdoor temperat ure and humidity, and t he reception
indicator.
TOGGLING A ND RESETTIN G THE T EMPERATURE MIN/MAX D ATA
TO VIEW THE M IN/MAX TEM PERATURE D ATA
Press the MIN/MAX key sever al tim es to view the MIN/MAX indoor and outdoor temperat ure
sequentiall y.
Note: the outdoor MIN/MA X temperature records will also display the recorded time and date.
TO RESET TEMPERATURE M IN/MAX DATA
Press and hold MIN/MAX key for 3 seconds to reset al l the indoor and o utdoor temperature
to current temperat ures.
ABOUT THE THER MO-H YGRO TRANSM ITTER
The range of the t hermo-hygro transmitter may be affected by the temperat ure. At cold
temperatures the transmi tting distance may be decreased. Please bear t his in mind when
positioning the transmi tters. Also the batteri es may be reduced in power for t he thermo-hygro
transmitter.
CHECKING FOR 868MHz RECEP TION
If the outdoor temperat ure and humidity data are not being received wi thin three minutes after
setting up (or outdoor di splay always shows “- -.-” i n the outdoor section of t he weather
station during normal oper ation), please check t he following points:
1. The distance of the weat her station or transmi tters should be at least 2 meters awa y
from any interferi ng sources such as computer mo nitors or TV sets.
2. Avoid placi ng the transmitters onto or in the i mmediate proximi ty of metal window
frames.
3. Using other electri cal products such as headp hones or speakers operating on the
868MHz-signal freq uency may prevent correct si gnal transmission or reception.
Neighbors using electri cal devices operating on t he 868MHz-signal freq uency can also
cause interference.
Note:
When the 868MHz signal i s received correctl y, do not re-open the battery cover of either the
transmitter or weat her station, as the batteri es may spring free from the co ntacts and force a
false reset. Should t his happen accidentally then reset al l units (see “Setting up ” ab ove)
otherwise transmissi on problems may occur.
The transmissi on range is around 100 meters from t he thermo-hygro transmi tter to the
weather station (i n open space). However, this depe nds on the surrounding e nvironment and
interference levels. If no rec eption is possibl e despite the observation of t hese factors, all
system units have to be rese t (see “Settin g up ” above).
POSITIONING THE WE ATHER STATION
The weather statio n provides the option of tabl e standing or wall m oun ti ng
the unit. Before wall mounting, please check that t he outdoor data can be
received from the desir ed locations.
To wall mount:
1. Fix a screw (not suppl ied) into the desired wall, leaving the head
extended out by abo ut 5mm.
2. Place the weather stati on onto the screw, usi ng the hanging hole on
the backside. Ge ntly pull the weather station dow n to lock the screw
into place.
Foldout table stand :
The foldout table sta nd leg is located on the backsi de. Pull the stand o ut
from the bottom center edge of the weather stati on, below the battery
compartment. Once t he foldout table stand i s extended, place the
weather station i n an appropriate locati on.
POSITIONING THE THERMO -HYGRO TRANSMITTER
Mounting at a shelter ed place. Avoid di rect rain and sunshine.
The thermo-hygro tra nsmitter can be placed o nto any flat surface or wal l mount using the
bracket which doubles as a sta nd or wall mount base.
To wall mount:
1. Secure the bracket onto a desired wall using the scr ews and plasti c
anchors.
2. Clip the transmitter o nto the bracket.
Note:
Before permanently fi xing the thermo-hygro to t he wall base, pace all units
in the desired locati ons to check that the outdoor temperat ure and humi dity
readings are recei vable. In event that the si gnal is not received, rel ocate the
thermo-hygro transmitter or the weather stati on slightly as this may help t he
signal reception.
CARE AND M AINTENANCE
Extreme temperat ures, vibration and shock should be avoi ded as these may cause
damage to the unit and give i naccurate forecasts a nd readings.
When cleaning the displ ay and casings, use a soft damp cl oth only. Do not use
solvents or scouri ng agents as they may mark t he LCD and casings.
Do not submerge t he unit in water.
Immediately remove all low powered batteri es to avoid leakage and damage. Repl ace
only with new batteri es of the recommended type.
Do not make any repair at tempts to the uni t. Return them to their ori ginal point of
purchase for repair by a qualified engineer. Ope ning and tampering with t he unit may
invalidate their guarantee.
Do not expose the units to extreme and sudde n temperature changes, t his may lead to
rapid changes in forecasts and readings and thereby red uce their accuracy.
