temperatures but check ing that it does not drive water in the open expansion tank otherwise it should cause a continuous water
oxygenation with consequent, fast corrosion of boiler body. I t must be not to avoid a forced circulation in the open expansion tank .

A T TENTION: temperature safety sensors must be in place on the machine or at a distance no great er than 30 cm from the ow
connection of the thermo -product. Whenever the thermo products lack a device, those missing can be installed on the thermo
product ow pipe, within a distance no greater than 1m from the thermo product. All those par ts must no have for any reason
meditate intercept bodies that could accidentally exclude them and must be placed in rooms which are protected from frost. On
the contrary , if they freeze, the boiler body c ould break or even explode .
A T TENTION: F or no reason must the re be ignited before the system has been completely lled with water; doing this
would lead to serious damage of the entire structure. The system must be lled by means of the loading pipe directly from the
open tank in a way to pr event an ex cessive pressur e of the water network deforming the body of the thermo heating sto ve.
The system must be kept constantly full of water even dur ing the periods when the use of the thermo-heating stove is
n o t r equested. During the winter , inac tivity must be faced with the addition of antifreeze.

It is COMPULSOR Y that the CL OSED expansion T ank system is provided with:
1. A SAFETY V AL VE - maximum operation pressure allowed for the system is : see DECLARA TION OF PERFORMANCE - CE MARKING
INFORMA TION. Higher pressures can cause deformation and breakage of the boiler body . A T TENTION: The inside diameter of the
supply pipe which connects the ther moproduct with the security valve must be equal to the internal diameter of the supply junction
present in the thermoproduct. The above mentioned connection pipe must be without siphoning parts.

IT IS MANDA TOR Y that the thermo products for domestic heating inser ted in CL OSED T ank heating systems, must be internally equipped,
with a cooling circuit, prepared by the unit manufacturer , which is activated by a ther mal safety valve (see chapter V AST) which does not
require auxiliar y power and can guarantee that the standard set temperature limit is not exceeded . Connection bet ween the power supply
unit and the valve must be free fr om interc eptions. Cooling cir cuit upstream pressure must be a t least 1,5 bar .

The Anti-condensation mixing valve nds applications in solid fuel heat generators as it prevents cold water return in the exchanger . Routes
1 and 3 are always open and, along with the pump installed on the return ( R), they guarantee water circulation inside the biomass boiler
exchanger (CB- chapter INST ALLA TION LA Y -OUT ). An elevated return temperature , allows eciency improvement, reduces formation of
smoke condensation and prolongs the boiler lif e span.
V alves on the mar ket have dierent calibrations. La NORDICA advises use of model 55°c with 1” hydraulic connections. Once the valve
calibration temperatur e is reached, r oute 2 opens and the boiler water goes to the sy stem via the ow (M ).
IMPORT ANT lack of installation of the device voids the heat exchanger warranty .

Solid fuel thermo products must be installed with safety devices determined by laws in vigour .
F or this reason the thermo products is equipped with a heat discharge coil .
The heat discharge coil must have one side connec ted to the water net work (chapter INST ALLA TION LA Y-OUT - chap. DIMENSION SHEET- A
) and the other rot drainage net work (C ). When the safety temperature is reached, the automatic thermal discharge valve DSA, the bulb of
which is to be connected to attachment B, enables the intake of cold water in the boiler coil, discharging the excess heat out of pipe C tow ards
a conv eniently installed drain. Cooling circuit upstr eam pressure must be a t least 1,5 bar .
W ARNING: W e cannot be made liable for a wrong op eration of the plant, when it does not comply with the provisions of
these instructions or when it uses additional products not suitable for this device (see chapter Thermostatic Valve V AST
TECHNICAL DA T A SHEE T ).

Some examples, purely indicativ e of the installation, are reported at chapter INST ALLA TION LA Y-OUT , while the connections to the
thermoproduct are reported at chapter DI M EN SI ON S.
A T TENTION: The lling of the system must take place exclusiv ely by the natural fall of the water from the open expansion
tank through the f eed pip e in order to av oid that a t oo high water system grid pressure could change or cause the e xplosion
of boiler body.
During this phase, open all the bleed valves of the radiators to prevent the formation of air sacks, check ing the outlet of water to avoid
unpleasant oodings.
The watertight test of the installation is performed with the pressure of expansion tank open .
The installation must alway s be full of water e ven when the thermo-produc t is not used . During winter season the non use
has to be faced by adding an tifreeze substances.

When installing the appliance, the f ollowing safety measures must be observed:
a) In order to ensure sucient thermal insulation, respect the minimum safety distance from objects or furnishing components ammable
and sensitive to heat and from materials with ammable struc ture (see CE MARKING INFORMA TION - Picture 7 ). All the minimum
safety distances are sho wn on the product data plate and low er values must not be used.
b) in fr ont of the furnace door , in the radiation area, there must be no ammable or heat-sensitive objects or material at a distance of less
than 120 cm. This distance can be reduced to 40 cm wher e a rear-ventilated , heat -resistant protection device is installed in front of the
whole component to prot ect;
c) If the product is installed on a no totally refractor y oor , one must for esee a reproof backgr ound. The oors made of inammable
material, such as moquette, parquet or cork etc., must be covered by a layer of no-inammable material (size according to regional
law , see Pic ture 1 ).
The ash draw er must always be inserted when the appliance is in operation.
The solid combustion residues (ashes) must be collected in a metal container that is hermetically sealed and re resistant. The appliance must
never be lit in the presence of gaseous emissions or vapours (f or example: glue for linoleum, petrol , etc,). Do not plac e ammable mat erials in
the vicinity of the appliance.
During the combustion, thermal air is emitted by involving the heating of areas, door and glass hear th, of the door handles or
controls , of the smokes pipe and, in case, of the front part of appliance . A void t o t ouch those par ts without a protective clothing
or without accessory tools (gloves resistant to heat, control devices). Ensure children are aware of these dangers and keep
them aw ay fr om the furnace when it is on.W arn childr en that the devic e bec omes very hot and that it must not be touched.
When using the wrong fuel or one which is too damp , due to deposits pr esent in the ue, a ue re is possible .
FI R S T A I D M E A SU R E S
Should any re arise in the stack or in the ue:
a) Close the f eeding door .
b) Close the registers of c ombustion air
c) Extinguish the re using carbon dioxide re-ghting means (CO

dust).
d) Seek immediate intervention of FIRE BRIGADE.
DO NO T EXTINGUISH FIRE USING WA TER JETS. When the ue does not burn any more please arrange an examination b y a specialist in order
to nd possible cracks and permeable points.
BE A M PR OT EC TI O N S
Considering the ir radiation of the hear th, it is nec essar y to be particularly car eful in protecting the beams while designing your stack. Consider
the pro ximity of beams to the external surfaces of the hearth, on one side, and the irradiation of the glass door , usually v ery close to the beams,
on the other side. In any case, it has to be consider ed that the internal or lo wer surfaces of this beam in ammable material must not come in
contact with temperatures higher than 65 °C. P icture 2 gives some examples of ex ecution.
W ARNING: W e cannot be made liable for a wrong op eration of the plant, when it does not comply with the provisions of
these instructions or when it uses additional products not suitable for this device.
