1) With the palm of your hand facing up, apply the instrument so that the edge of the cuff is
approx. 1-2 cm from your palm.
2) Apply the wrist cuff around your bare wrist and fasten it in place with the Velcro fastening.
3) The wrist cuff must be snug around your wrist, but not too tight.
TAKING A MEASUREMENT
1) After the unit has been placed on the right wrist or the left, hold down the “O/I” button until
you hear a beep.
On the display, for a few seconds, all the function symbols come on. The up arrow symbol
( ) indicates that the unit is ready for measurement.
At this point the cuff will start to inflate automatically and will stop inflating once the optimal
level I s reached.
Try to stay relaxed, without speaking or moving.
Caution: When there is still air in the cuff from the previous measurement, the down arrow
symbol ( ) will flash on the display until the unit stabilises the pressure.
2) The display will show the following values: systolic, diastolic, pulse rate, date and time of the
measurement ( ). The heart symbol will appear only in the event that an irregular heartbeat
has been detected ( ).
Segments that appear on the left of the display indicate the classification of blood pressure
values (see the “CLASSIFICATION OF BLOOD PRESSURE VALUES” section). Once
measurement is completed, the unit will beep three times.
Automatic re-pressurisation
The starting pre-set pressure level is 190 mmHg.
If the pre-set pressure is insufficient in the preliminary reading phase or if the hand or wrist is
moved, the unit will start inflating again until 220 mmHg are reached. Automatic re-pressurisation
is repeated until a valid reading is taken.
However this is not sign of a fault with the appliance.
3) If you want to stop measuring for any reason, simply press the “O/I” key and remove the cuff.
The unit switches off automatically if it is left idle for 1 minute, otherwise you can switch it
off by pressing the “O/I” key.

4) Remove the run down batteries by lifting the cover of the battery compartment.
Extract the batteries and dispose them as special waste at the specific collection points forecast
for recycling. For more information about the disposal of run down batteries, please contact
either the store where the device containing the batteries was purchased, or the Municipality,
or the waste disposal local service. Caution: For greater safety, children younger than
12 years should not remove the batteries.
SETTING MEMORY ZONE AND DATE/TIME
1) With the unit off, press the “O/I” button for 3 seconds, the display will flash the last memory
zone selected ( or ).
To select the memory zone desired, press the “M” key and confirm your choice by pressing
the “O/I” button.
At this point, the display flashes the number for the year (fig.1). Use the “M” key to adjust
the figure, holding it down will speed up the scrolling of the numbers. Press the “O/I” button
to confirm it.
2) Now the month flashes: adjust with the “M” key and confirm by pressing the “O/I” button.
3) Now the day flashes: adjust with the “M” key and confirm by pressing the “O/I” button.
4) Now the hour flashes: adjust with the “M” key and confirm by pressing the “O/I” button (the
display shows the time in 12 and 24 hour formats, see step 6 to select the desired format).
5) Now the minute flashes: adjust with the “M” key and confirm by pressing the “O/I” button.
6) At this point, the display shows “US” or “EU” that indicates the format of date and time (US
= 12-hour format, EU = 24-hour format). Select the format with the “M” key and confirm by
pressing the “O/I” button.
7) Press the “O/I” button for 3 seconds to confirm the data and turn off the display.
When you insert or replace the batteries you need to reset the memory zone, date and time as
described in steps 1 to 7.
APPLYING THE WRIST CUFF
These instructions must be followed in order to take measurements on either your right or left wrist.
We recommend measuring on the left wrist, but always use the same one even if
the right is used.
