Horizontal and vertical levelling:
Open the battery compartment (2) and insert batteries according to the symbols. Be sure to pay
attention to polarity. Release the transport restraint, put the ON/OFF switch (4) into its "ON" positi-
on. The cross laser will appear. The desired laser lines can be selected with the selection button (5).
Refer to Figures A, B and C on page 2 for application examples.
Slope mode:
Do not release the transport restraint, put the ON/OFF switch into its "OFF" position. Select and
switch on the laser with the selection button (5). Now slopes can be laid out. Refer to the applicati-
on example in Figure D on page 2. IMPORTANT: This mode cannot be used to perform horizontal
or vertical levelling because the laser lines are no longer automatically aligned.
Important: The tilt function must be activated to perform horizontal and vertical levelling. Activate
this by releasing the transport restraint, put the ON/OFF switch (4) into its "ON" position. The tilt func-
tion will produce an alarm when the unit is outside its automatic levelling range of 4.5°. The alarm sig-
nal is audible and the lasers will shut off. When this happens, place the unit on a more even surface.
Note: Regularly check the calibration before use, after transport and after extended periods of
storage.
