3.1. Insert SIM card
The iris X5 is a Dual SIM mobile phone allowing you to use the
facilityoftwonetworks.ToinsertSIMcard(s):
Switch off the mobile phone and remove the rear cov er and
battery.
InserttheSIMcardcorrectlyinthecardslot(s).
InsertSIMcardcarefully!
Finally inser t the battery and replace the rear cover of the
mobilephone.
3.2. Insert Memory card
TheirisX5allowsyou toexpandexte rnalmemorywithamicroSD
card,upto32GB.
Poweroffthemobilephone,andth enremovetherearcoverand
battery.
Insertthememorycardintotheslot.
Finallyinsertthebatteryandtherearcoverofthemobilephone.
Useonlycompatiblememorycardsapprovedby withthisdevice.
Incompatible memory cards may damage the card or the device will
corruptthedatastoredinthecard.
3.3. Unlock the Phone
You may need to provide PIN, Password, or draw a pattern to
unlockyourphone.

You may be required to unlock your phone basedon the unlock

3.4. Using the Touch screen
Youcan usethetouchscreeninthefollowingways:
Touch: Acts on items on the screen, such as application and
settings icons, to type letters and symb ols using the onscreen
keyboard,ortopressonscreenbuttons.
Touch and hold: To u c h and hold an itemon the screen until an
actionoccurs.
Drag:To uchandholdanitemandmoveyourfingeronthescreen
untilyoureachthetargetposition.

Pinch:Insomeapplications(SuchasMaps, Browser, and Gallery)

Rotatethescreen:Onmostscreens,theorientationofthescreen

3.5. Using the Phone’s Buttons

You can open con text menu by touching key. Not all
screenshavecontextmenus.Ifyoutouch keyinsideapplication
thathasnocontextmenu,nothinghappens.

Options menus contai n tools that apply to specific items on the

You can add applications, shortcuts, widgets, and other items to
anypartoftheHomescreenorchangethewallpaper.
Applications:
Press toopentheHomescreen.
TouchtheLauncherIcon toopenthemainmenu.

hold it until it vibrates and enters Home screen. Place it and

Wallpapers: Wallpapers are images from Gallery, still images included
with the system, and live images. They take the place of the default

o Gallery: Choose from pictures that yo u’ve taken with

wallpapers. Even you can choose a video file from your
VideoWallpaperfolder.
o Wallpaper:Choosefromthumbnailsofdefaultimages.
For set wallpaper, touch SET WALLPAPER at the top of the

The Noficaons panel displays your network provider name and
a list of your current noficaons.
6.2. Respond to Notifications
Open the noficaon panel and touch a noficaon to respond to
it. What happens next depends on the nocaon.
6.3. Close Notifications Panel
Drag the tab at the boom of the Noficaons panel to the top of
the screen. Or just press the back buon. The panel also closes when
you touch a noficaon to respond to it.

Your camera’s pictures and videos are stored in both the SD card
and device. You can copy pictures and videos from both the SD card and

Note:Younowneednot toworryabouttheoperatorsettingofyou r
device. Your device detects and install the operator settings
automaticallyassoonasyouinsertyou rSIMcard.

9.3. Connect to Wi-Fi Networks
TobrowsetheInternetviaWiFi:
Go to Menu>settings>Underwireless & networkstabselect
WiFi and then turn it ON, select the WIFI connec tion listed under
WiFinetworkswithwhichyouwa nttoconnect> Enterthepassword
ofWifinetworkwithwhichyouwanttoconn ect.
Note:MakesurethatWiFinetworkwithwhichyouwanttocon nect
isintherangeandisactive.

9.4. Pair With Bluetooth Devices
GotoSettings>Wireless&networks>Bluetoothsettings.
If Bluetooth is off, check Bluetooth to turn it on. Your phone
scansanddisplaystheBluetoothdevicesinrange.
If the device you want to pair with is not in the list, make it
discoverable.
If your phone stops scanning before you make the other device
discoverable,touchScanfordevices.
TouchtheIDoftheotherdeviceinthelistSettingstopairthem.If
you are prompted to for a password, enter any password on one
device and enter the same password you entered in the other
device to be paired, If the pairing is successful, your phone
connectstothedevice.

9.5. Connect to Internet on your PC via Phone
You can browse the Internet on your PC using your mobile phone.
Thiscanbedonein2ways:
Toaccessboththeoptionsmakesureyourphonehasanactivedata
planandmobiledatais“ON.
USBTethering:
ConnectyourmobilephonetoyourPCviatheUSBcab le.
GotoSettings>Wireless&Networks>More>Tethering&portable
hotspot>USBtethering.
Your PC will then read the necessary drivers of your phone and
youcan thenaccessinternetonyourPC.
Note: In case you are unable to con nect to int ernet please get in
touchwithcustomercareexecutive.
WiFiHotspot:
Go to Settings> Wireless & Networks>More >Tethering &
portablehotspot>TurnONWiFiHotspot.
Once the device WiFi Hotspot is active youcan see a grey icon
denotingwirelessnetworkonthenotificationpane.
Note: You can select the desired security settings foryour hotspot
networkbyfollowingbelowsteps:
Go to Settings> Wireless & Networks>More >Tethering &
portablehotspot>Set up WiFihotspot>Security> Select desired
securityandconfigureyourpassword
Nowgo toyourPCandcheckfo rthe Hotspotnetworkcreated
byyourdevice.
Selectthenetworkandinput the passwordconfigured forthe
