Installation
1. Insert the CD-ROM (L) entitled “LEICA Digital
Camera Software” in your computer’s drive. Then
the installer is automatically launched (if you have
not previously deactivated the AUTORUN function
in the Windows settings). Otherwise, open your CD
drive in Windows®Explorer and start the installer
by double clicking on the file “Setup.exe”.
2. Select the desired language.
3. In the installation screen select the programs that
you want to install and follow the further instruc-
tions on the screen
CD 2 contains the program package
SilverFast®DC SE 6 for Leica
SilverFast®DC-SE 6 allows a beginner to quickly and
easily make brilliant pictures from his digital photo-
graphs. SilverFast®DC-SE 6 is equipped with prac-
tically all of the functions of the multi-award winning
full version of SilverFast® , but largely works with
intelligent automatic functions. Integrated Quick-
Time®Movies quickly familiarize you with the func-
tions of SilverFast®. The Virtual Light Table VLT is
available without restrictions for organizing and
managing large inventories of pictures.
SilverFast®DC SE 6 can be upgraded to the full
version SilverFast®DC-VLT or the professional
alternative SilverFast®DC-Pro with raw data conver-
sion at any time.
This program allows you to convert picture files cre-
ated by the LEICA DIGILUX 2 in raw data format into
other formats, making various optimizations to the
pictures in the process. These include white balance,
color corrections and edge definition. More infor-
mation can be found in the online help within the
SilverFast®software and the excellent instruction
videos that demonstrate working with
SilverFast® step-by-step.
Installation
With Macintosh®computers:
1. Insert the CD in your CD or DVD drive.
2. Open a window for the drive and launch the instal-
lation by double clicking and follow the instructions
of the installation program.
With Windows®computers:
1. Insert the CD in your CD or DVD drive.
2. The installation program now starts automatically.
Please follow the instructions. If installation does
not start automatically, please open the Windows ®
Explorer and click on your CD or DVD drive. In the
right-hand window of Windows®Explorer you will
find the file “Setup.exe???”. Run this file and follow
the instructions of the installation program.
CD 3 contains the program Adobe®Photoshop®
Elements®2
You can use this software to professionally edit the
pictures taken with your LEICA DIGILUX 2.
