5.2 I nserting a memory card (not inc luded)
Follow the instructions given bel ow to insert the optional mi cro SD memory card into the camera.
1. Turn off the camera first.
2. Open the card bar.
3. Insert the micro SD card into the camera.
Note: There is only one right di rection to insert the micro SD memory ca rd into the sl ot. Do not
force the card into the slot, or el se it may damage both the camera a nd the micro SD
memory card.
Note: The micro SD memory card m ust be formatted before taking photograp hs. See the
following sections for more i nformation.
5.3 F ormatting the memory or micro SD card
1. P ress the menu b utton ( ) in PHOTO or VIDEO mode.
2. S elect the setup mode by press t he right button.
3. S elect the format i con by press the ( ) b utton and press the ENTER butto n ( ) to
confirm.
4. S elect Internal memory / SD card then press t he ENTER button.
5.4 S etting the resolution
The camera can be set to differe nt resolutions.
1. Press ( ) bu tton in PHOTO mode, select the resolutions icon by( ) key an d press the
ENTER button ( ) to co nfirm.
Resolutions: VGA (640 x 480), 1.3M (1 280 x 960), 3M (2048 x 1536),
5M (2560 x 1920), 8M (3264 x 2448), 12M (4032 x 3024)
2. Six different resolutions will be di splayed. Select the desired resolutio n by using the up or
down buttons and press the ENTER b utton to confirm the sel ection.
5.5 Ta king photographs
1. Tur n on the camera.

Depending on the distance to the obj ect being photographed, use macro s witch to adjust
the distance. Select the flower symbol ( ) if you wish to take a close- up photograph
(11cm –18cm).
If you wish to take video or p hotograph of surroundings or peopl e (0.5m – infinity),set the
macro switch to normal mode ( ) .
3. If you are not sure if there is enough li ghting, turn the automatic flash( ) o n by pressi ng
the flash button. (If the battery power i s too low, the flash wo n’t be activated).
4. Use the LCD screen to aim the object yo u wish to take photograph.
Use the face detection to aim the p eople you wish to take photograp h.
5. Press SHUTTE R button and wait until the LCD display turn on agai n.
6. If ‘SMILE’ det ection is ON, shutter will be activate automatically once a smil e face is
detected
Caution: 1) Taking picture for fast-movi ng object is not recommended.
2) Image may be distorted w hen taking picture in a moving ve hicle.
5.6 Zo om in and out
The camera can zoom in up to 8 ti mes.
Zoom in or out by pressing the up or down button, a number wi ll appear on the display, 8.x is t he
maximum zoom ratio.
5.7 S elf-timer setting
You can use the self-ti mer function when you wish to take a p hotograph for yourself or whe n you
wish to take a photograph for a n object which the camera must be as sti ll as possibl e.
1. Set t he camera to photo mode.
2. Press t he MENU button ( ). Th e me nu will appear.
3. Press t he down button to select Capture Mode a nd confirm by pressing the EN TER button.
4. Press t he down button to set the delay ti me: 10S Timer.
5. Press t he ENTER button to confirm. The self-timer function is now ready for use.
6. Ai m at the object you wish to take p hoto.
7. Press t he SHUTTER button to take a photograph.

T he photo will be taken after the ti mer reaches the delay time of 10s a nd the camera will
beep during the delay ti me.
5.8 R ecording video clips
1. Press t he MODE button to select the vi deo clip mode( ) .
2. For setti ng the resolution, Press ME NU button and select Resol ution, then press the
ENTER button to confirm. T wo resolutio n will be displayed.
VGA (640 x 480) Q VGA( 320 x 240).
3. Press t he SHUTTER button to start recordi ng video, press the SHUTTER butto n again to
stop recording. The video cli p will now be saved as an AVI fi le in the camera memory.
5.9 P layback photographs
1. Press t he( ) button to get into playback mode.
2. Press t he left or right buttons to see photograp hs.
3. I n full screen display , press the up b utton to zoom in the photo.
4. To vi ew images in thumbnail , press down button.
5. To s hift the image in zoom-in mode, press the ENTER button then use the
up/down/left/right buttons.
6. Press t he MENU button, select SLID E SHOW, and then press the ENTER b utton to
confirm. The pictures saved i n your camera or your micro SD card wi ll be di splayed in
sequence automaticall y.
5.10 Playback video clips
1. W hen video clips are displayed, press the ENTER butto n to start playing the video and
press the ENTER button agai n to p ause t he playback.
2. press ri ght button to fast forward or p ress left button to rewind.
3. Press t he down button to stop.
4. Press t he( ) button again to exit.
5.11 Delete photographs and video clips
You can choose to delete a si ngle photograph / video cli p, or delete all the photographs / video
clips in the memory.
Follow the instructions given bel ow to delete photograph.
1. Press t he ( ) button to enter the playback mode.
2. Press l eft or right button to select p hotograph/video cli p to be delete.
3. Press t he delete button an d select Del ete This Image/All ..
4. Press t he ENTER button ,then select OK to confirm.
5. Press t he ( ) button to exit.
NOTE: Select “All” and Press t he ENTER button to confirm, all the pictures and videos will be
deleted.
6. Connecting to a PC
The unit can be connected to t he computer as mass storage devi ce and transfer photo/vi deo files
for storage.
