2. It will activate the LINE IN mode automatically and the display shows “LINE”
3. Start your external player to play music.
4. Now you will hear the music from your external sound source
Note: If no sound can be heard, check the volume of your external player and the volume of the PMX-160
MICROPHONE IN (SING-A-LONG KARAOKE)
You can plug in the microphone to enjoy the Karaoke function. Plug the 6.3mm terminal type microphone (supplied) into the MIC 1 or
MIC 2 input jack. Turn the [- MIC VOL +] knob to change the micophone input sound level. Turn the [- MIC ECHO +] knob to change
the echo level of the micophone karaoke. Please ensure that the microphone should be placed at a proper distance away from the
unit’s speaker to avoid any howling sound.
When the microphone is plugged, you can press and hold the [MIC PRIORITY] button to enhance the microphone input human voice
effect. Press and hold the [MIC PRIORITY] button again to resume normal

EQ OPERATION
The PMX-160 is equiped with an EQ sound function. The EQ function is only available in USB, Micro SD card and Bluetooth modes. It
is not available in radio and Aux in mode. Pressing the [EQ] button will change to different sound effects
(Normal/Pop/Rock/Jazz/Classic/Cut).
BASS BOOST
You can also boost the bass effect of the music. Turn the [- BASS +] knob to change the bass effect.
DJ SOUND MIX EFFECT
The unit provides you a DJ sound mixing function. Different sound sources can mix together. Their relative mixing sound level can
freely be adjusted. Sound sources are divided into 2 groups, A and B as listed below.
Source A group, which includes:
• FM
• USB A
• MICRO SD CARD
• BT A
Source B group, which includes:
• USB B
• BT B
• LINE IN
Audio source selected from group A will mix with audio source selected in group B. For example when you are playing a music on USB
A, you can plug into another USB device into the USB B terminal. Then USB B will start automatically and mix with USB A to play. Turn
the [DJ MIXER] knob to change their relative mixing sound level. For instance turn the [DJ MIXER] knob in the direction marked “B
MAX.”, the source B will have a more sound level. Similarly if you turn the [DJ MIXER] knob in the direction marked “A MAX.”, the
sound level of source A will increase.
Alternatively you can set the audio source A and B volume level individually. For example when you select source A with “A”
displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons to change the source A sound level. When you change to source B with “B”
displayed, press the remote control VOL -/+ buttons will change the source B sound level.
Note: When FM is DJ sound mixed with any source B music, turning the [DJ MIXER] knob will only change the source B volume level.
When mixing, the FM sound can not be changed and will remain the same level.
ENERGY SAVING
Due to ErP stage 2 requirement and protect the environment, the unit will turn off to the standby mode automatically once no music
has been playing for about 15 minutes.
When the unit has powered off due to ErP, pressing the STANDBY button will turn the unit on again.
