The game ends when one of the following two conditions
are met:
• If the Lantern pawn reaches the cottage on the last space
of the third section of the path, you've come home, safe and
sound. Victory!
Or
• If the Ogre tiles are all revealed, thus making the Ogre
whole – the Ogre has reached you... it's too late, you're lost...
End of the game
The rules above have explained to you the game overview in
its basic version, but in order to make the game more difficult,
we offer you three other variants:
• Fabulous Mode: as in the basic game, but without the
Seven League Boots token and with 2 White Pebbles tokens
instead of 3.
• Legendary Mode: as in the basic game, but without the
Seven League Boots and Tall Tree tokens, and with 2 White
Pebbles tokens instead of 3. Moreover, the first Ogre tile is
revealed at the beginning of the game.
• Storm Mode: the wind rises and it's becoming harder to find
your way. On each turn, and after each time a new Guide is
chosen, all the players move one seat to the left. Visual cues
are thus changed, making the task even harder.
This game is as modular as you wish it to be. Nothing is
stopping you from making your own difficulty levels, your own
story...
