The compartment cover is on the drawer itself and can be

covered with shelves or additional drawers.

Low air humidity

uOpen the drawer.

uPull the drawer cover to the front.

wIf the drawer is closed: Gap between lid and compart‐

ment.

uSwitch off HydroBreeze.*

wMoisture levels lower in the Safe.

High air moisture:

uOpen the drawer.

uSlide the compartment cover to the back.

wIf the drawer is closed: The cover seals the compartment.

uActivate the HydroBreeze.*

wMoisture levels rise in the Safe.

If there is too much moisture in the compartment:

uChoose a “low moisture setting”.

-or-

uRemove the moisture with a cloth.

Note

With the “low humidity” setting, the Fruit & Vegetable-Safe

can also be used as a Meat & Dairy-Safe.

uChoose a “low moisture” setting.

7.9 HydroBreeze*

HydroBreeze emits a mist over the refrigerated goods to

provide moisture every time the door is opened.

The HydroBreeze and its water tank are located in the

adjustable bottle shelf.

Make sure that the following requirements are fulfilled

-The water tank is clean .

-The water tank is properly engaged.

-Moisture is set to “high moisture” (see 7.8 Humidity

control) .

-HydroBreeze is on (see HydroBreeze*) .

7.9.1 Fill the water tank

WARNING

Contaminated water!

Poisoning.

uFill with drinking water only.

uHydroBreeze is off: Empty the water tank.

uHydroBreeze is out of use for a prolonged period: Empty

the water tank.

NOTICE

Sugary liquids!

Damage to the HydroBreeze.

uFill with drinking water only.

Note

Use filtered, decarbonized water to provide the best-quality

drinking water and keep the HydroBreeze working smoothly.

This water quality can be achieved using a table water filter

of the kind available in trade retail outlets.

uFill the water tank with filtered, decarbonized drinking

water.

The water tank is built into the adjustable bottle shelf

(see 1.2 Appliance and equipment overview) .

uPress on the back-left corner of the front glass plate.

wThe glass panel folds upwards.

uLift the glass panel and fold to the back as far as it will

go Fig. 51 (1).

wThe glass panel is upright.

uSlide the slider Fig. 51 (2) to the left.

wThe water tank jumps out of its recess.

uRemove the water tank Fig. 51 (3).

uCleaning the water tank .

Angular opening:

uFill with drinking water up to the level mark.

uInsert the water tank, bottom first, into the recess.

uSlowly lower the front part and push the tank in.

wWater tank is engaged.

7.9.2 Disassembling the water tank

You can disassemble the water tank for cleaning.

7.10 Glass shelves

You can remove the glass shelf under the drawers for

cleaning.

You can remove the glass shelf under the drawers to use

VarioSpace.

7.10.1 Removing / inserting the glass shelf

Make sure that the following requirements are fulfilled:

qGlass shelf under the drawer: Drawer has been removed.

(see 7.6 Drawers)
