8.7.2 Cleaning the interior

NOTICE

Improper cleaning!

Damage to the appliance.

uOnly use soft cleaning cloths and ph-neutral all-purpose

cleaners.

uDo not use steel wool or sponges that scour or scratch.

uDo not use caustic or abrasive cleaning materials or

those containing sand, chloride, or acids.

uPlastic surfaces: clean by hand with a soft clean cloth,

lukewarm water and a little detergent.

uMetal surfaces: clean by hand with a soft clean cloth,

lukewarm water and a little detergent.

uDrain hole: remove any deposits with a thin item such as

a cotton bud.

8.7.3 Cleaning the equipment

NOTICE

uOnly use soft cleaning cloths and ph-neutral all-purpose

cleaners.

uDo not use steel wool or sponges that scour or scratch.

uDo not use caustic or abrasive cleaning materials or

those containing sand, chloride, or acids.

Clean with a soft, clean cloth, lukewarm water and a little

washing up liquid:

- VarioSafe*

- Fruit & Vegetable-Safe cover

- Drawer

- Variable bottle shelf

Clean with a damp cloth:

- Retracting rails

Please note: the grease in the tracks is there for lubrica‐

tion purposes and must not be removed!

Clean in the dishwasher up to 60 °C:

- Door racks

- VarioBox*

- Bottle rack

- Shelf

- Split shelf

- Holder for the split shelf

- HydroBreeze water tank and water tank lid*

- Drip tray*

- Egg rack

- Butter dish

- Ice cube tray*

uDisassemble the equipment: see the relevant section.

uClean the equipment.

8.7.4 Cleaning the InfinitySpring*

You can clean the InfinitySpring outlet and around it without

disconnecting the appliance from the mains.

We recommend cleaning in the following situations:

qInitial commissioning

qIf out of use for longer than 5 days.

uPress the bottom pushbutton of the dispenser.

wThe outlet unit moves out.

uClean the water outlet and around it with a soft, damp

cloth, lukewarm water and a little washing up liquid.

uRelease the bottom pushbutton.

uDispense 2 l of water through the InfinitySpring and pour

away.*

8.7.5 Cleaning the HydroBreeze*

We recommend cleaning in the following situations:

qInitial commissioning

qHydroBreeze was off for longer than 48 hours.

qRefill the water tank.

Make sure that the following requirements are fulfilled

qHydroBreeze is off (see HydroBreeze*) .

qWater tank was removed and cleaned in the dishwasher.

uWipe out the recess with a damp cloth.

uInsert the water tank.

uActivate the HydroBreeze.

8.7.6 After cleaning

uWipe dry the appliance and items of equipment

uConnect and switch on the appliance.

When the temperature is sufficiently cold

uPlace the food inside.

uRepeat cleaning regularly.

9.2 Operating noises

The appliance makes noises while in operation.

-At less cooling output the appliance saves energy but

takes longer to cool items. The volume is lower.

-At a higher cooling output the food cools more quickly.
