Intended Use
-The radio controlled weather station is intended for household use only. This features time and predic-
ted weather display, together with other functions. This electronic device is not intended for precise
forecast of weather and is not to be used as factual reference for the upcoming or present weather
conditions. Any modications will violate product guarantee and intended use. The manufacturer is not
liable for any damages or loss of goods for improper misuse. The product is not intended for commer-
cial use.
Warnings and Safety Instructions
Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!
Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully before using your LifeGoods Weather
Station!
General
-Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from incorrect use of the Weather Station and the
Sensor. Misuse can result in personal injury, or destruction of the devices.
-Use the Weather Station and the Sensor only for purposes described in this user manual.
-If the Weather Station and/or the Sensor malfunction, are dropped or (appear to be) damaged in any
manner, do NOT use them and contact Customer Service.
-The Weather Station is designed for indoor use, and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
-When you are not using the Weather Station, turn the device off and disconnect the device from the
power socket.
-Do not place the outdoor sensor in full sunlight as this may lead to inaccurate measurement.
-Any metal object may attract a lightning strike. Never install the Sensor during a storm.
Persons
-The Weather Station can be used by children if they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord
out of reach of children.
-The Weather Station and Sensor can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
-The Weather Station and Sensor are not toys. Ensure that children younger than the age of 8 do not
play with the appliances.
Use
-Do NOT use the Weather Station in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over a basin lled with
water. Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands and do NOT touch the power cord with
damp or wet hands. Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the Weather Sta-
tion in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the Weather Station off immediately and contact
our customer service.
-Keep the Weather Station away from heat and areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot
(e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
-Do NOT cover the Weather Station or the Sensor when they are switched on. Never put objects on top
of or against the devices. This poses a risk of re, electric shock or injury.
Electronics
-Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Weather Station or the Sensor. This can damage the
device. Fo r safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order
to prevent hazards, always send the Weather Station and/or the Sensor to the service centre for repairs.
-Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Weather Station.
-Always check the power cord and plug before using the Weather Station. Do NOT operate the device
if the cord or plug are damaged. A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by a qualied person in
order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
-Only use the adapter provided by LifeGoods.
-Do NOT disconnect the Weather Station from its power supply by pulling the cable.
-Do NOT carry or pull the device by its cable.
-Make sure that you do NOT trip over the cable. The cable should not be kinked, trapped or twisted. Do
not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch a hot surface.
Batteries
-Batteries prove fatal when swallowed. Keep the batteries away from children.
-The service life of batteries is approximately one year. Replace the batteries on time.
-Batteries must be inserted according to the correct polarity as indicated on the safe.
-Do not mix old and new batteries.
-Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
-Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from
the safe before charging.
-Do not try to short circuit the terminals or the batteries.
-Do not throw batteries into the re. Do not attempt to crush, puncture or otherwise disassemble batte-
ries for any reason.
-Do not dispose of batteries with your household waste. Batteries contain chemicals that are harmful to
the environment. Improper use of the batteries may cause explosion and
-leakage of battery uid. Recycle batteries when appropriate. Return the batteries to a government-ap-
proved collection point for recycling.
-Do NOT expose the batteries to high temperatures or excessive heat.
-Leaking batteries can damage the device. Remove the batteries if you are not using the device for an
extended period of time.
-Use gloves to remove leaking batteries. Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
-If the batteries leak, avoid contact with skin, eyes, open skin or wounds. Wear gloves. In case of acci-
dental exposure to battery uid, rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water and seek medical
attention immediately. Remove the at batteries from the device immediately as there is an increased
risk of acid leakage.
Receiving Your Shipment
-When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify
your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, le a claim immediately
with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save
the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.
