Important information, follow these instructions.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over and people with restricted physical, sensory or
mental capacity or a lack of experience and expertise, provided they are under supervision or have been given
instructions on the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the potential hazards. Children must not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are over the age of 8
and under supervision.
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in damp conditions
• Never immerse the appliance, cable and plug in water or any other liquid.
Do not pick up the appliance if it has fallen into water. Remove the plug from the socket immediately. Do not
use the appliance again.
• Place the appliance on a at, stable surface, in a place where it cannot fall over.
Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use.
• When removing the plug from the socket, pull on the plug itself, not the cable.
• Parts of the machine can become hot. Do not touch these parts to avoid burning yourself.
Only hold the frying basket with the plastic handle. The metal section with which the handle is attached to the
basket can get very hot.
• Ensure that the appliance, cable and plug do not come into contact with water.
• The appliance may not be operated by an external time switch or by a separate remote control system.
• Never use the inner pan without the inner basket.
The appliance is equipped with an overheating safety device. This engages if the temperature rises too high.
You must then let the appliance cool down before it can be used again. Switch the appliance off by turning the
time and temperature knob completely to the left (0) and then removing the plug from the socket. Allow the
appliance to cool completely. The appliance needs approximately 30 minutes to fully cool down.
OPERATION
First use:
Remove the appliance and accessories from the box. Remove any stickers, protective lm or plastic from the
appliance.
Before you use the appliance for the rst time, wipe all the removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use
aggressive or abrasive cleaning materials, a scouring sponge or steel wool; this damages the appliance, the
inner pan and inner basket.
• Place the appliance on a at, stable surface, in a place where it cannot fall over.
Turn the temperature dial to 200°C and turn the time dial to 15 minutes to switch on the appliance (the
indication lights will light up).

• When using an extension cable, ensure that it is completely extended.
Use a 10 amp cable if an extension cable is required. Cables with a lower amp rating may burn out. When
plugging in the cable, ensure that it cannot be accidentally pulled out or tripped over.
The appliance must be able to dispel its heat in order to prevent the risk of re. Ensure therefore that the
appliance is in sufcient space and cannot come into contact with combustible materials. The appliance must
not be covered.
• Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of ammable materials.
Ensure that the appliance and power cable do not come into contact with heat sources, such as a hot hob or
naked ame.
• Do not allow the cable to hang over the edge of a sink, worktop or table.
Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the socket if you discover a fault during use, if you are
cleaning the appliance, adding or removing an accessory, or when you have nished using it.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is in use.
Never move the appliance when it is switched on or still warm. First switch off the appliance and only move it
when it has cooled down.
• Only use tools with a handle which is well insulated against heat.
• Do not use sharp objects in the frying basket. These damage the non-stick coating.
• Do not spill hot oil on the heating element. This will smoke and cause unpleasant smells.
• Clean the appliance thoroughly after use (see “Cleaning and Maintenance”).
It is advisable to place a heat -resistant covering between the table or sink counter and the appliance, to
prevent any marks as a consequence of heat on your table or worktop.
