Operating instructions for Control 410
Installation and initial operation
4.7.4 Motor running time and running time tolerance
Programming the running time (Step 3)
After installing a door, the exact running time for the opening and closing
processes must be saved in the roller shutter controls. This is essential for
operational reliability. If the motors internal limit switches are defective, for
example, the motor will not switch off and this will result in irreversible mecha-
nical damage to the door system. It could also result in injuries to persons.
If the controls are operated in deadman mode, the running time must be
programmed by carrying out door runs in deadman mode. Otherwise,
the controls carry out a programming run automatically. The starting position
of the door is irrelevant for the measuring procedure. After the procedure has
been completed (after two or three door movements), the door stops at the
upper end position.
Follow the instructions in the flow chart below, starting when the door is
stationary:

4 Installation and initial operation
4.1 Installation steps
Before the control unit can be set in operation, the steps listed below must be
followed in the order specified, as a minimum requirement. The door can then
be operated from the control unit housing or using a wireless hand transmitter.
Any additional equipment can be installed afterwards, as required. This does
not affect the basic functions, however.
If during installation or initial operation the control unit should
switch to fault mode (the safety LED or operation LED starts
to flash), because the settings were not adjusted correctly, for
example, then the system can be returned to operating mode
(see Chapter 5.2, page 28, on resetting) by disconnecting the
control unit from the mains for at least three seconds (pull out the
mains plug or remove the fuse, for instance).
