FEA TURES
This unit incorporates the latest generation of digital
surround sound decoding technology such as Dolby
Digital EX, Dolby Digital, DTS ES (Discrete 6.1 and
Matrix 6.1), DTS Neo:6 (Cinema, Music), Dolby Pro-
Logic II (Movie, Music and Game), Dolb y Pro-Logic
IIx (Movie, Music and Game), Circle Surround II
(Cinema, Music and Mono).
Additionally , the unit is compatible with Dolby T rueHD
and DTS-HD (as used for Blu-r a y and HD D VD discs)
as well as Dolby Digital Plus , an e xpanded and
improv ed version of Dolb y Digital positioned as the
next-gener ation delivery format. These audio f ormats
can be sent with video signals via an HDMI cable to
HDMI 1.3a-compatible equipment.
In addition, Marantz has focused on the future. By
utilizing pre-out jacks, 7.1 direct inputs and a RS-232C
communication port, the unit is tomorrow’ s technology ,
today!
This unit features a fully discrete 7 channel amplifi er
section capable of deliv ering 90 watts of high-current
amplification, for contin uously clean and stable
power into each of the 7 channels . It emplo ys a
massive EI po wer transf ormer in combination with
ov ersized fi lter capacitors . This design confi gur ation
is capable of a clear and po werful reproduction of
the most demanding action movie soundtrac ks and
full range (multichannel) music discs . Through its
ability to generate v ery high output voltages, the unit
can easily drive the most demanding speakers with
optimum results.
This unit incorporates the most advanced Digital
Signal Processing circuitry , along with a 192 kHz/24 bit
D/A conv erter in each of the 7 channels. Independent
power supply circuits are incorporated f or the FL
display , audio and video sections f or maximum
separation, clarity and dynamic range. T ogether with
hand-selected customized components, all elements
work in harmony to recreate the emotion, exactly as
the ar tist had intended.
This unit is designed and engineered with extensiv e
feedbac k from custom installation e xperts, dealers
and consumers. It f eatures ZONE/m ultisource,
assignable DC trigger , a RS-232C communication
por t, Flasher input, heavy duty speak er binding posts
and an extensiv e arra y of both analog and digital
inputs / outputs. With 5 assignab le digital inputs (6
total), 3 component inputs, Super A udio CD Multi
Channel (7.1 channel) direct inputs, video con vert
system and a speaker-B and OSD output v ersatility
is taken to a stunning ne w le vel. Furthermore, the
unit can output the OSD information through the Y/C
(S-video) and composite video outputs.
