Safety Information
• Before connecting the appliance to your power supply, please ensure that
the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains
supply.
• Check the heating blanket carefully before each use, if you notice wear or
damage
• Do not use if you notice wear, damage or signs of improper use on the
electric blanket, the switch or the cables. Return it to the supplier.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by Medisana,
an authorised dealer or by qualified personnel.
• Only use the heating blanket for its intended use as in the instruction
manual.
• Do not use the heating blanket with small children or persons who are dis-
abled, in need of care or insensitive to heat.
• This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, or by persons with insufficient
experience and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person respon-
sible for their safety, or unless they have been instructed in the use of the
device.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
• The heating blanket may not be operated while folded, creased or placed
around the mattress.
• During use, the control switch and lead must not be placed on or under the
heating blanket or be otherwise covered in any way.
• No safety pins or other pointed or sharp objects should be attached to the
heating blanket or stuck into it.
• Never leave the heating blanket on when unattended.
• The device is only for private use and is not to be used in hospitals.
• Never handle a heating blanket that has fallen into water. Unplug it from the
mains outlet immediately.
• Do not use the heating blanket in a damp or humid environment or if the
heating blanket itself is damp. You may only use it again once it is com-
pletely dry.
• Never expose the control switch or leads to moisture of any kind.
• Keep the mains lead away from hot surfaces.
• Never carry, pull or twist the heating blanket by the mains lead and do not
allow the lead to become tangled or snagged.
• Do not repair the heating blanket yourself in the event of damage or mal-
function. Only have repairs carried out by an authorized specialist dealer or
suitably qualified personnel.
• The heating blanket may only be operated with its special control unit.
• When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding. When
storing, do not place any objects on the electric blanket to prevent buckling.
