3 Operating
Please remove the protective foil before using the rechargeable
battery for the first time. Press the narrow flaps on sides at the
bottom the device inwards at the same time. The rechargeable
will be loosened and can be taken out of the device. Remove the
protective foil and push the rechargeable battery back into the
device.
Charging Time
To charge the rechargeable battery, plug the mains adapter into
the charging socket
first of all and then plug it into the mains
socket. The charging display
lights up green. It goes out when
the rechargeable battery is fully charged. Charge the battery pack
overnight (at least 15 hours) using the power supply adapter to
achieve full capacity for initial use, or if the device has been
stored without being used for over 3 months. The normal time
for charging the battery is 5 hours. The rechargeable battery can
also be charged independently of the device. Take the
rechargeable battery out of the device and plug in the mains
adapter as described above.
With a fully charged battery, the device can be used for approx.
18-20 minutes disconnected from the mains. This is sufficient for
1-3 uses (depending on the dosage and the length of use). As a
rule, the inhalation phase using the MEDISANA USN is 8-10
minutes if the chamber is filled to its maximum of 6 ml = 6 cc due
to the ultrasound nebulizer’s high performance.
ATTENTION
Do not keep trying to switch the device on if the
batteries are flat or this may lead to them being
damaged. The battery display
switches from green to
yellow when the batteries are flat and the device
switches off automatically after a short time even if the
chamber is still full of inhalant.
If the batteries are flat or the equipment-on indicator lamp
changes from green to yellow during operation, the device can
still be operated. Connect the mains adapter for this purpose.
Power is supplied by the mains adapter during therapy. After use,
leave the adapter connected to the mains so that the batteries are
recharged.
