INTRODUCTION

To get the most out of your new hairdryer, please read

through these instructions carefully before using it for

the ﬁrst time. We also recommend that you keep the

instructions for future reference, so that you can remind

yourself of the functions of the hairdryer.

SAFETY MEASURES

Normal use of the hairdryer

• Incorrect use of the hairdryer may cause personal

injury and damage to the appliance.

• Use the hairdryer for its intended purpose only. The

manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or

damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see

also Warranty Terms).

• The hairdryer may only be connected to 230 V, 50

Hz.

• The hairdryer or cord must not be placed in water or

any other liquid.

• Never leave the hairdryer unattended when in use.

Children may only use the hairdryer under the

supervision of an adult.

• Do not cover the appliance, while it is in use.

• Always turn the appliance off using the on/off

button, and unplug it, when it is not in use.

• Please note that the appliance will remain hot for a

while after you switch it off. Always allow it to cool

completely before you put it away.

• Always keep the appliance at a safe distance from

ﬂammable objects such as curtains, tablecloths or

the like.

• Do not place or store near other heat sources or in a

damp environment.

• Do not expose to direct sunlight for long periods.

• This hairdryer is not suitable for commercial or

outdoor use.

• When in use, the air intake on the back of the

hairdryer must not be blocked. If the intake is

blocked, the hairdryer will overheat. If this happens,

the overheat protection will automatically shut off

the power to the dryer. Turn off the hairdryer, and

remove the plug from the wall socket.

• In order to avoid burns, you should avoid blowing

hot air directly into the eyes or on very sensitive

skin.

Cord, plug and mains socket

• Keep Cord away from hot objects and open ﬂame.

• Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the

cord or any extension cord.

• Check regularly that the cord and plug are not

damaged and do not use the hairdryer if this is

the case, or if the appliance has been dropped or

damaged in any other way.

• Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

• Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning.

• Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from

the socket. Instead, hold the plug.

• The cord must not be wound around the appliance.

• Unauthorized repairs or modiﬁcations will invalidate

the guarantee. Please contact the store where you

bought the appliance for repairs under guarantee.

• When the product is used in a bathroom, unplug is

after use since proximity of water presents a hazard

even when the product is switched off

• For additional protection, the installation of a

residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual

operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable

in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask

your installer for advice.

• Keep the appliance under constant supervision

while in use. Keep an eye on children in the

vicinity of the appliance when it is being used.

The appliance is not a toy.

• The appliance is not to be used by persons with

reduced sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities

or persons who are unable to use the appliance,

unless supervised or instructed by a person

responsible for their safety.

• If the appliance, cord or plug has been damaged,

have the appliance inspected and if necessary

repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair

the appliance yourself. Please contact the store

where you bought the appliance for repairs under the

guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to

the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.
