PRIOR TO FIRST USE
• Open the battery cover on the back of
the appliance by pushing the cover in
the direction of the arrow and remov-
ing it.
• Remove any battery protection and
the batteries from the battery com-
partment.
• Insert 1 x CR2032 lithium battery (3
V). The plus pole (+) of the battery
must face the cover.
• Replace the battery cover. Press
firmly until it clicks into place.
• Select unit of weight using the switch
(3) on the back of the appliance:
o kg = kilogrammes (metric unit of
weight)
o lb = pounds (US unit of weight)
o st:lb=stones:pounds (British unit of
weight) The unit of weight selected
appears in the display (1) when the
appliance is switched on.
USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place on a firm, even surface, e.g. a
bathroom floor.
o The appliance may not work if you
use it on an uneven or sloping
surface.
2. Do not step onto the appliance if it
is switched off, or if it is switched on
and a warning symbol appears in the
display (see below).
3. Step on the weighting platform (2),
the reading on the display will flash
for a few seconds, then come stable.
The stable reading is the weight mea-
sured.
4. Step down from the scales when you
have read your weight.
5. The appliance automatically switches
off after approx. 8 seconds.
