plug in water, and no water must be allowed

supervision while in use. Keep an eye on

Use
• Alwaysplacetheapplianceonadry,level,
firmandheat-resistantsurfacewellaway
from any edges.
• Theappliancemustnotbeplacedorstored
near other sources of heat.
• Donotcover.
• Donotswitchtheapplianceonunlessthere
is water in it.
• Thewaterlevelinthekettlemustnotbe
belowthemarks"MIN"orabove"MAX"on
the water level gauge.
• Avoidtouchingtheoutsideofthekettle
wheninuse,asitbecomeshot.Touchthe
handle and buttons only. Be careful of hot
steam when opening the lid.
• Pleasenotethattheappliancewillremain
hotforawhileafteryouswitchitoff.Always
allow it to cool completely before you put it
away or clean it.
Cord and plug
• Donotletthecordhangoutovertheedge
of the work surface.
• Checkthatitisnotpossibletopullortrip
over the cord or any extension cord.
• Keepthecordandapplianceawayfrom
heatsources,hotobjectsandnakedflames.
• Removetheplugfromthesocketbefore
removing the lid from the appliance, before
cleaning, or when the appliance is not in
use.Avoidpullingthecordwhenremoving
the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the
plug.
• Thecordmustnotbetwistedorwound
around the appliance. It can be wound
aroundthebuilt-incordstorageholder.
• Checkregularlythatneithercordnorplugis
damaged and do not use if they are, or if the
appliance has been dropped or damaged in
any other way.
• Iftheappliance,cordorplughasbeen
damaged, have the appliance inspected
and if necessary repaired by an authorised
repairer.Nevertrytorepairtheappliance
yourself. Please contact the store where
you bought the appliance for repairs under
theguarantee.Unauthorisedrepairsor
modifications to the appliance will invalidate
the guarantee.
