CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you should pay
attentiontothefollowingpoints:
• Removeplugfromthemainssocket,and
allow the appliance to cool down before
cleaning it.
• Neversubmergetheapplianceinwaterand
make sure no water enters the appliance.
• Cleantheappliancebywipingitwithadamp
cloth.Alittledetergentcanbeaddedifthe
appliance is heavily soiled.
• Donotusescouringpads,steelwoolorany
form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning
agents to clean the appliance, as they
may damage the outside surfaces of the
appliance.
• IMPORTANT!Allowtodryfullyaftercleaning
before using again. Do not use the appliance
if damp.
• Donotapplyanykindoflubricanttothe
appliance.
Emptying the metal shavings collector
From time to time it will be necessary to
empty the appliance form metal shavings
that accumulate in the collector behind the
whetstones.
1. Removetheblackcovers(3)overthe
whetstones.Loosenthecoverinfrontand
back with your fingers and lift it off.
2. Holdtheapplianceoveradustbinandturnit
over and shake carefully to empty the metal
shavings.
3. Replacethecovers.Setthelongstudinto
the rear recess first. Ensure the studs on
each side of the cover are aligned with the
appliance top holes and press into place
until you hear a click. The covers can only be
fitted in one position because of their curved
shape.
