CLEANING

When cleaning the appliance, you should pay

attentiontothefollowingpoints:

• Removeplugfromthemainssocket,and

allow the appliance to cool down before

cleaning it.

• Neversubmergetheapplianceinwaterand

make sure no water enters the appliance.

• Cleantheappliancebywipingitwithadamp

cloth.Alittledetergentcanbeaddedifthe

appliance is heavily soiled.

• Donotusescouringpads,steelwoolorany

form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning

agents to clean the appliance, as they

may damage the outside surfaces of the

appliance.

• IMPORTANT!Allowtodryfullyaftercleaning

before using again. Do not use the appliance

if damp.

• Donotapplyanykindoflubricanttothe

appliance.

Emptying the metal shavings collector

From time to time it will be necessary to

empty the appliance form metal shavings

that accumulate in the collector behind the

whetstones.

1. Removetheblackcovers(3)overthe

whetstones.Loosenthecoverinfrontand

back with your fingers and lift it off.

2. Holdtheapplianceoveradustbinandturnit

over and shake carefully to empty the metal

shavings.

3. Replacethecovers.Setthelongstudinto

the rear recess first. Ensure the studs on

each side of the cover are aligned with the

appliance top holes and press into place

until you hear a click. The covers can only be

fitted in one position because of their curved

shape.

is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used.

You must also check if the socket outlets in your

home fit with the plug of the appliance. If the

socket outlet in your home does not fit with the

plug, the plug must be removed and disposed

of safely as insertion of the plug into the socket
